This post is gold, and exactly what I have been saying lately. A lot of small minded people with big mouths! Happy for Kennedy, and I thank him for what he has done at UND. Like @geaux_sioux wrote earlier, and I paraphrase very crudely: "dude got amazing amount of !@#$ done, but came off as an ass sometimes to people in ND".

Like people said, parity rules now. Just super surprised by the result after watching SCSU win so many games this season. I truly thought they were going to hang 1st banner.

History/program status shouldn't factor in. Gophers also had 10,000 plus cheering loudly against them at the Ralph. SCSU was #1 pairwise and pretty much #1 all year...30-5-3. AIC was 31st in pairwise...first tourney appearance, 23-16-1. Hats off to AIC!!!

Turned on nchc to check score during basketball break. Very impressed with the crowd! Very little green, lots of red and maroon and yellow. NCHC did just fine without UND at this tournament.

Silver lining of anemic offense: the REA didn't go over budget on the "smoke shooting thingie". So we've got that going for us, which is nice.

True 2K maybe, always was hard to tell, but we were all over that place! That was a high demand ticket for both fanbases. My point was that opposing fans not being at 1.5K at Mariucci Arena isn't the problem. NCHC schools seem to be doing relatively well, attendance wise, without the almighty UMN coming to their barns.

The first four games typically get 1-2 million viewers, even though they are on a network like TruTV that isn't super common in households across the USA. The FCS title game typically gets 750K to 1 million views. NCAA hockey final gets around 400K to 700K. These numbers are all available through some simple searches.
