  1. Both sites are composed quite well and if you know what you're looking for you don't need to be a web-site programmer to navigate GPL. The only difference is that "Hockey" content at GPL is broken down into three different themes - there's nothing mysterious or disjointed about it. There's Gopher Hockey, Gopher Recruiting, and College Hockey - what's so difficult to comprehend about that?
  2. Here's your halo.
  3. I'd be interested in seeing a link to a post from a Gopher fan that referred to Kessel or Johnson as the, "best American ever". lol
  4. I haven't been there yet but I've seen these posts in the past. They are interesting in theory, but it would be even more interesting to see what results followed previous seasons to see if such a concept actually works. If his method has within reason come close to predicting conference finishes for a few years running than I suppose it should be given consideration. Althought as we all know prediciting conference outcomes means nothing come NCAA time. No matter how good I think the Gophers can be next season, a lot can happen before next April to make any such predictions meaningless.
  5. Though I don't think anyone has annointed Erik Johnson the best "anything" yet, the fact was he was taken #1 in the draft for a reason, just as Kessel was taken #5 for a reason. That we should be happy at the prospect of them playing for the Gophers next year is pretty ridiculous, eh?
  6. I too take this news with a grain of salt. Just last week Granpa Sid was saying that word on the street had Kessel leaving. Who knows?
  7. DOH!
  8. Was there something in that statement that was supposed to set you off? Whether or not you find me humorous isn't the point (my kids think I'm a riot btw ) - I didn't think I said anything that was so worhty of your umbrage. I just hope I never ever spill milk in your presence.
  9. The point was, "don't take everything so seriously". But hey, if you really feel the need to continue trying to "one-up" me let me know and I'll bolt.
  10. Parise PCM, where's the sense of humor? btw, 0.3 posts/day = fixation? I better not increase that rate or I'll have to be committed.
  11. Crimminy, even Badger fans at USCHO think this is much ado about nothing but the fixation here for Kessel keeps on ticking.
  12. Homerism? Who care's about homerism - let's talk about the lack of a sense of humor. Jeez, was the sarcasm not obvious enough that I needed to wink?
  13. Head and shoulders? I see I haven't missed anything around here lately....
  14. Here's this topic in a nutshell (Mikey Myers immediately comes to mind): 1. Enelstad had a party (maybe 2) where folks dressed at Hitler 2. He realized the poor judgement made and never did it again 3. He probably more than atoned for the error with philanthropic activies throughout his life The rest us should: 4. Forgive and forget The End
  15. Perhaps we come here to discuss college hockey? And just like discussions here that are only between fellow Sioux fans, sometimes they get off-topic and sometimes, even here but don't be alarmed by this revelation - people disagree. I don't actually think I'm going to convince anyone of anything, but I see no harm in providing an occasional counter-point. Yet despite saying nothing offensive you react as though we inuslt your mother everytime we say, "I disagree". That seems a bit extreme. I can't find anything here that would be considered offensive enough to cause such a reaction but it's your choice.
  16. Where I come from visiting mulitiple websited devoted to a common topic (college hockey for those that need it spelled out) indicates a wide interest in the topic itself. As for your supposed bait, don't flatter yourself. Well then, UND should have nothing to worry about next year given your own starter isn't any better.
  17. lol, I didn't think I included any exclamation points or smiley faces that indicated I was upset. I just like pointing out hypocrisy when I see it. If Frazee is a sieve, so is Philippe.
  18. I apologize for assuming my point was that obvious. That was, if by comparing their respective stats you still wish to refer to Frazee as a sieve, you should probably worry about your very own starting goalie for next season. And lest you be considered to be on the wee bit hypocritical side you should also refer to Philippe as a sieve. As for Frazee's supposed issues last year, the guy was a freshman whom imho came into the season far, far too cocky and seriously unprepared. I think he's demonstrated however that if he gets his act together he'll prove not to be a sieve. I'm not saying he'll be the next Elliott, I'm not saying that he's better than Lammy or whatever, but that if he does finally get his head on straight that it's a bit premature to write him off. btw - I didn't think I wrote anything that contentious, but que sera, sera.

  20. If any of us had, should we deserve to be maligned for years and years after we died - despite perhaps everything else we had accomplished in our lives? How many famous people in history have their picadillos re-examined as often as this one? Seemingly only those associated with sports programs and usually limited to the fans of their greatest rivals.
  21. 1. You didn't hurt my feelings and I don't need to lighten up. This is a matter of what's right and wrong. I imagine there are rules associated with conduct in posting at this website. Repeatedly calling another a poster an idiot - deservedly so or not - probably doesn't fall within acceptable posting rules. 2. It wasn't personal until you called he/she an idiot.
  22. The above is grossly out of context, but I'll respond with the following: 1. Gopher fans aren't the only people that have insisted on sticking with the belief he's a Nazi and someone's college hockey affiliation is irrelevent - the accusaation is either legitimate or it's not. 2. I think you missed my point - if the guy was actually a bona find Nazi sympathizer, who cares if he donated to charity? Does a child molestor deserve our sympathy because he read stories to children he didn't molest at the local library? Now - here's the imporant part - if you neglect to read the following bullet point you fail to comprehend my overall thoughts on this topic >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3. I don't think he a was a Nazi and I don't think the discussion has any merit. My only intent was to assert I don't see any point in accusing him of being a Nazi or Nazi sypathizer. If I worded it poorly and it came across amore than that then mea culpa.
  23. Allowing for the fact you may not like Hockey1 or agree with this comments, is repeatedly calling another poster an idiot - even a lowly Gopher fan - now considered to be acceptable at this website?
  24. For the sake of the argument, let
