Just for actual reference, UND is at 51.7% vs. 52.9% if you pull out MacMillian's faceoff numbers which would rank #21 in the nation.

RPI doesn't carry over from year to year and the schedule is typically made out a year or two in advance. Due to adjustments to the RPI formula, losing home games to bad times is absolutely killer and beating good teams on the road offers a huge bump. The former absolutely killed UND this year. I do agree that if it were to continue, UND could have a little bit harder time picking up one time money OOC games but despite Jones other downfalls, he does seem to have good relationships with a fair amount of regional schools and continues to get UND pretty decent money games. The opposite side (not just UND either) is getting some of those teams here. I believe UNI is supposed to be the Betty next year, which would be an absolutely huge game. The Big Sky as a whole needs to improve their non-conference schedule, though that's easier said then done due to there being a more limited number of OOC games to choose from out west. Playing and losing against highly ranked teams does more for you then beating low ranked teams, especially for low mid-majors, which is one of the big flaws pointed out when using not only RPI but conference RPI to compare teams and conferences.

Had a chance to say hi to him as well. Sounded very excited about the first two practices.

This would have been the only logical reason to buy a pass into the High Point Bar and Grill. I really thought UND would be the early game and couldn't bring myself to spend an extra $30 just for the privilege of buying overpriced beer.

Tournament upgrades, brief downtime yesterday morning

Any way you can have the plug pull automatically if UND were to come out on the wrong end today or tomorrow? Might save a lot of people some embarrassment and the rest of us having to wade through it. -
If anyone is looking for uneducated hot takes, they are all currently residing in the comments section on Facebook where the WSJ article has been shared with UND Fighting Sioux fans.

The NCAA is hilarious.

Voting/suggestions don't start until April 1. Guessing UND will have something on their website to offer suggestions.

This would be 1000x worse than the Sundogs idea that Goon keeps insisting is Kelley's choice.
-
Huh? That'd be news to a lot of people including UND's old branding guidelines and trademarks.

What time did you get there? Curious cause I had some buddies drive by between 4 and 5 they figured there was well over 100 in line at that point. Nice. Talk about cutting it close.

UND did put a bid in for the REA. Duluth put one in for Amsoil as well. Hasn't been disclosed if there were any other ones. Scheels Arena (who did their bid in conjunction with UND) received it because they were the best neutral site bid. The only way the REA will ever host if they are the only bid for a regional and there is no other options (identical to why Notre Dame is hosting at their own rink in South Bend).

I feel like Denver or BC scored one off UND in the Frozen Four like that one year similar to that but it was probably close to a decade ago by now. Maybe not?

I believe they are going to have 3 sets of riser type platforms (or 3 total levels, wasn't exactly clear). They claim the view will be fine and not too crowded. I applaud their effort to get as many people as they can in but we'll see.

Personally, I'd have no desire to go to it in Sioux Falls. My group typically has 1-2 road trips a year and if we do the conference tournament, its because its in MSP/STP and I know I will see a fair amount of friends/alums and there is alternative stuff to do.

I'd hope that the casual football fan does get Montana, Montana State and Eastern Washington. If they don't, I'd argue they haven't watch much if any FCS football. And SDSU was on the home schedule that year. I honestly don't think UND will ever have a more attractive home schedule than they did that year regardless of conference they are in, mainly because they won't ever have 7 home games again with two of the non-conference games being the equivalent of UM and SDSU. Winning will be the turning point, not the schedule.
-
If the 2013 home schedule didn't get people to buy season tickets, I'm not sure what will. Valpo SDSU UM MSU EWU Sac St UNC That's 4 teams that regularly make the playoffs and should be household names to anyone who pays any attention to football plus old foe UNC.

So when Hak lost in the conference tournaments they were big games but Blais continuing to fail to even make it out of the first round does not qualify as big games. Logic checks out.

If you get a guard from a different school they will have to sit out a year under transfer rules unless it is a JuCo kid. Agree on the Tyler part.

Twins prepaid his arbitration years, nothing more or less. He gets a little comfort and they might save something in the end. Wish they would have added 1-2 years of team options on the end to make it a little more worthwhile.

How do I add a photo from my computer to a thread?

Jim - is there a way to attach or upload pictures from a mobile device. Last time I tried, I couldn't figure it out at all. -

Kind of killed your credibility on the insider knowledge thing.

I think you missed the sarcasm in the whole thing. I've had my tickets for months and will be there and couldn't be more excited. Go back and read some comments in the threads this weekend, people were coming out of the woodwork declaring the team a bust and a joke. I think they played over their heads for a portion of the year and weren't quite as good as their record/ranking but are significantly better than they showed this past weekend. History has shown all you need to have a chance is make the tournament, I think this team is more than capable of putting 4 wins together in a row. The point of this thread was to poke fun at those who are throwing in the towels and kindly take their tickets off their hands so everyone else doesn't have to listen about how the weekend was a waste of time and money if UND doesn't make it out of the regional.
