I know reading comprehension isn't your strong point, but as the article states, UND doesn't have as much to cut this time since they did more than just kick the can down the road, though obviously not enough to absorb the full, new proposed cuts. However Kennedy has released a statement and UND has set up a web page that lists tangible targets and will be used to keep people informed. Now that we've cleared up your deflection, has ndsu publicly acknowledged the cuts let alone mention how they are going to address them?

@Goon - Can you lay out why WIH shouldn't be cut instead of just being offended that people think it is the most logical cut. The reasons why it should definitely be considered have been laid out, I'm curious why you don't think it should be on the table.

I know that Chapman tried to bankrupt NDSU but UND handled its projected deficit before it came to that point (caused by the legislature capping tuition after the budget was made) but they cleaned it up and are going to end the biennium without real deficit (big difference, just trust me on that one). UND didn't get anywhere near as far down that path as NDSU did. The biggest difference I see is that a large amount of UND supporters don't have an issue criticizing or questioning the administration at UND, but you won't find much of any supporters doing the same with NDSU despite some very well publicized issues and decisions from the last two presidents that were more than worthy of being ripped.

Hitting the sauce a little hard on a Sunday? Zero chance of expanding the fargodome how you described and with state budget cuts, FargoU had no chance of paying for its own stadium. The city of Fargo isn't chipping in, the fargodome meets their needs. Not to mention either of those would have been at least announced by now to be in place by the 2020 season. And what in the hell benefit would the Mountain West get out of that kind of arrangement?

Jeremy Jorgenson (NDSU head of media) and Jeff Culhane (NDSU radio play by play) host. I'm still curious how it isn't a violation for an NDSU athletic department employee to talk about recruits who haven't signed or how it wasn't a conflict of interest for him to work on the media contracts and then he ends up hosting a show on the radio station that won the rights.

Since we're going to be members, might as well get the history straightened out: The Summit League was never known as the Gateway, it was the Mid-Continent Conference, changing its name in 2007. The MVFC was the one that had ties to the Gateway, known as the Gateway Football Conference before changing its name in 2008. It has a pretty winding history (stolen from Wikipedia):

He's spending his time over on the CSNBBS site giving his theories. Since there was no leak on the MVFC vote yesterday, he's convinced that it is a ruse by Kennedy to prove that the MVFC isn't going to let UND in even though he says that one doesn't pre-announce unless they know the end result. Seems strange that the story would run using FOIA sources that point to UND in the Summit/MVFC if that wasn't what was going to happen but I digress. I guess we'll find out at the press conference today...Who's going to come out from Door #1....Jeff Hurd or Tom Douple and Patty Vivetiro??
