Great weekend series. Made the drive from Colorado Springs for both games and was not disappointed. I agree with the posts that Fylling has been very impressive. The kid just works his ass off every shift. The Gophers will be in the mix at the end of the year. They have too much talent to continue to falter. I personally thought Ryan Potulny was more impressive than Irman and Vanek didn't do anything. A huge tribute to our defense. Listening to the weekly CC talk show and they had USHO WCHA correspondent on. He thinks that UND will not be in the mix at the end of the year due to goaltending and road heavy schedule in second half. I thought both Brandt and Parise played well, just the one weak goal on Saturday. Much better than Minnesota. He also commented that Suter kid from Wisconsin has been most impressive rookie. He must be good if he gets nod over Murray or Stafford who I think have been impressive. Great weekend at the Ralph. Students were great. Signs were entertaining. Nothing better than watching the Gopher fans sitting on their hands. Let's get a couple more W's this weekend.

Any idea on whether you can get video feed from dataflix and listen to Hennessy make the call? In my opinion, Hennessy is one of the best hockey announcers I have heard on the radio.

Yeah, mine just went out as well. Worked pretty good up till then. A few times where there was delays of about 30 seconds to a minute but all in all pretty good.

See where Siembida is no longer with the team. Did he transfer or is he out of hockey altogether?

I'll second that flatspin. Gophs showed the heart of a champion in the third and Webber was impressive. It'll be fun to see if anyone can knock them off next year. Congrats Gophers. Worthy champs.

I will not cheer for the Gophers but I think they will win. I won't cheer for UNH either. I don't care who wins, just want to see a good game. Some earlier posts pointed out that UNH takes some stupid penalties and if they do on Saturday, the Gophers will make them pay. I was very impressed with Webber in the MI game and the Gophers skate 4 solid lines. Also, I am impressed with Martin and Ballard on D. If they win will I change my name? Nah, I'll just say that it relates to the comparison of Siouxrocks IQ vs. the collective IQ's of a few of the Sioux bashing Rodent lovers on this board.

Sorry for the confusion. I should have attributed the quote to yellowdog. My whole point in starting the thread was to point out that Siouxrock should not have been banned for his repeated "Gopher Sucks" replys or any of his other misspelled drivel. Most were in response to some Gopher fan trashing the Sioux and no worse that some posts by Gopher fans that do nothing but to degrade our boys in green. Don't get me wrong, I don't think any Gopher fan should be banned either. A number of them provide some good comments on hockey and appear to be knowledgable fans. Others come only to bash the Sioux, the Ralph, Grand Forks or anything else to try and stir the pot. That's their choice. Let's face it, they have something to brag about the last few years and there was a lot of pent up stuff from 1979. I just find it funny that yellowdog gets offended at the backlash he receives after his anti-Sioux rants. What does he expect? Enough on that. Hopefully we got a couple of great hockey games to watch today. LONG LIVE THE FIGHTING SIOUX. I cannot take credit for the 7>4. Got it from Goon's tagline. I totally agree. The students need to be near the ice. Fact is, they are the loadest and most vocal. I remember watching the student section during the late 80's (isn't that were The Farce came from?) and how loud they were. It created a great atmosphere. If the Sioux want to recreate that atmosphere from Ralphie I they need to add more student seats near the ice, not take them away. But as ND Gopher so correctly pointed out, money talks.

Rumor has it that the "Rock" has been banned. Say it ain't so. I find this hard to believe since I still see where Yellow Stain, Nacho Man, Worthless and the other Rodent lovers are posting without restriction. Siouxrocks only crime is his/her/its undying love from the Fighting Sioux and his/her/its inability to type or formulate a rationale thought.
