My bad Snaggles. Still a little dizzy from Thursday afternoon.
-
At least you got the first two initials of next years winner right.
-
Let's see, during the "cursed years" we have won the McNaughton Cup, the Final Five Championship, and appeared in two Frozen Fours. Man, I wish I was cursed like this.

You are dead on Redwing. While the 4th goal was weak, there is no way you pull Parise from that game. Check out the replay, Parise made a number of huge saves. The guy was the backbone of this team all year long. Staying with Parise was definately the right decision. True colors? You got to be kidding. Go back and review his last three years and then talk to me about true colors. Your post is just plain stupid. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Parise left early. I hope he doesn't and comes back to finish out a great career.

Just got down watching game on ESPNU as did not get to see it live. Not that it affected the outcome but the ice sure seemed to be in bad shape. Puck bouncing all over, a few dead spots where puck just stopped and a number of guys falling down which leads me to believe there were some good gouges in the ice. Didn't I see where some players were complaining about the condition of the ice during practice sessions. If Bucky wins, I bet they soften up that ice real nice for Saturday. No way can they skate with BC.

Amen brother and very well said.

You have got to be kidding me. Pull your head out of your ass. Smaby is one of the best college defenseman in the country. Get a clue.
-
Tis painful Sexy. However, just remember, in the end it is only a game and there is always next year. Thanks to all for the updates and to this great board. It is a great place to get Sioux info and chat with the greatest fans in college hockey.
-
Congrats to BC. Thanks for a great season Sioux. The way you played the third is why I will forever bleed Green. Thanks to Prpich and Marvin for four great years. Thanks to Zajac, JPar, Stafford, Sparky, Toews, Smaby, and all others who decide its time to go to the next level. This years team was a blast to watch and follow. Another great job by the best coaching staff in college hockey. The Regional in GF will never be forgotten. Can't wait till next year. Oh yeah, almost forgot, LET'S GO MAINE!!!!!!!! Seeing Earl Louganis and that cheap shot Burish win would be a bad way to end a disappointing day.
-
You go with the one that brung ya. Bottom line, we aren't here without JPar. Still time left. Let's Go Sioux!!!
-
You're right, you are a Gopher fan. As such, you and I will never totally see eye to eye. However, I did agree with your analysis.
-
I like the way you think. I am officially off work and on board for the third. Set your intention boys and let's make it happen. Go Sioux.
-
I'm with you Doc. We have them right where we want em. First 5 minutes of the third will be key. Let's Go Sioux!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Not to worry. Plenty of time left.
-
Good work Deck. Keep the mojo going. As for me, I'm feeling a bit peckish and think I may need to go home early. Don't want to risk spreading this nasty bird flu. Let's face it, I'm doing my co-workers a favor. Now, is it Tamiflu or cold beer and college hockey that are good for flu symptoms?
-
Let's Go Sioux!!!!!! Stuck here at work while a bunch of family and friends are rolling into Milwaukee. Got the tape in the VCR and just debating whether to check for updates or watch it cold tonight. Something tells me I won't be able to keep away from the board for very long. For those of you watching or listening, please provide updates. This is our year baby, I can feel it.

Congrats to Irman and Potulny for reaching the next level. While I am a college hockey fan, I could care less about the NHL. Kind of makes me sad to see all these top notch players leave early. Would have preferred the pleasure of watching them play another year at the college level. That said, you can't fault a kid who takes the money when it becomes available. I suspect we will be hearing of Sioux departures after the season is over. Let's just hope that isn't until sometime Sunday.
-
Well put Sagard. I agree. Keep it unsigned. Now if I can only convince the rink manager to play the HC play-by-play replay over the PA. Just some friendly payback after living through the back-to-back years of 02-03.
-
Smaby to continue his goal scoring ways.
-
The only reason I am not getting mine signed is that I plan to wear it every Friday AM during pick up hockey with a bunch of Gopher fans. Figured that the signatures wouldn't hold up to well if it is being washed. That said, I've never had a signed jersey. Do the signatures hold up when washed??? If so, I may change my mind on this.
-
No problem Dogs. You take 15 and I'll take 17. 15 has no real significance for me, other than having this sinking feeling that Zajac is going to have a huge couple games next week.
-
Forecheck, Put me down for #15. I gotta have something to remember what a great weekend of hockey it was. Thanks.
-
Thanks for the link. Awesome tape. That Friday UM-Holy Cross game was one of the best sporting events I ever attended. The energy in The Ralph all weekend was awesome. Kudo's to HC, the Fighting Sioux and all the great fans who attended.
-
Best quotes I heard this weekend came from a die hard Sioux fan who sits right by UND bench. He was heckling the Gophers all game long. Said this was only time that a visiting team had sat on that bench. A few classics: With about two minutes left in regulation with score tied he says: "Come on guys, only two minutes until immorality. The first #1 seed to lose to a #4 seed. Nobody will ever be able to take this away from you." Then, after HC scores in OT to win, he shouts out: "Hey Kessel, call a press conference, your season is over."

I have it on solid authority that Oshie will be back. Not sure about Toews, Stafford, Smaby, Parise, and/or Zajac. I would think Lee and Finley and rest of Frosh are long shots to leave after one year. Hopefully we won't have to worry about it until mid April.
