Its not the network decision, it is the money behind the network decision in texas that did this. Look at it in a smaller way. FSN North and the goophs. I actually think that the gophers being solely on fsn has helped the wcha become a better league. Now with CBS picking up this league, I think that it will grow. Hopefully they don't televise a single home game of UND so we can see more road games . Call it selfish, but we have the sweeny network for home games. In all reality this is going to be a good thing for our hockey league being on CBS.

I know, I just want this as an exhibition. I would love to see the sioux trounce these guys. But to tell you the truth, it is more the fans than the players who would be asking for the game. I think that the players know what the outcome would be.

No one has answered the one question that will put this to sleep. Is this game possible as an exhibition game. Why not ask the kitties to the ralph and put these poor souls that think the bobcats would win out of thier misery? It isn't just the redstars that are fueling this, it is that goalie from st cloud who played in bismarck last year. Farager shut us down in one game. This may just be personal, but I would like to see these people shut up. Its like that fan from mankato that is an ankle biting dog until the game is over and we sweep the mavs. We all know here that this is perposterous, but they just have a dream that needs to be squashed. Yes unfortunalty I work with a couple guys who apparently don't know anything about what level the nahl is actually at. My question is, can this game actually take place so that these guys can actually see the whooping in person?

People at work today were talking that they think the Sioux would get beaten by the Bismarck Bobcats. With the Bobcats beating the Russian Redstars last night, it is a topic of conversation here in Bismarck. First of all is this a game that could even be played? I am guessing no. Second, I am thinking that it would be a yawner. I think that the score would be a blow out by the Sioux. What are your opinions.

Another aspect of the tournement will be television coverage. The conference needs to foster a good relationship with a network that is going to do the conference good. I can see FSN try to pick up the tourney, BUT what about regular season games. I would work a deal that would be the same coverage for regular and post season play. I would like to see some familiarity by the crew covering the games because they have seen the teams all season. Lets think outside the box and get a network that will help build our conference.

Wow, does that video bring back some good memories. I grew up in western ND where we didn't have indoor rinks. I played hockey outside in below zero and blowing snow. What a fun time. Thanks for the post, this is what hockey is all about. Those were the good ol days for sure.

There is no way that the WCHA holds the X. Just think about it. The only local teams would be Mankato and Bemidji and we all see how well they draw. I would guess that from the numbers last year alone the X would even buy out a contract if that is what would need to happen. Ralph South was awesome and UND alone proved that we draw. I would hope that they don't make the mistake of rotation circa milwaukee and st paul. My guess is central location in St Paul will be the winner and Red Baron will keep the naming rights. Now comes the name of the trophies. We are safe with the tourney trophy, but how about regular season??

The NCAA deals behind closed doors, that is thier MO. Now the state is going to have to go to INDIANapolis and deal with them in thier offices. I think that they should have to change thier cities name and therefore the state too. If the ncaa is so politically correct, they need to move the offices to st loius or something like that.

I don't think a guy on KFAN chat is a reliable source. I will wait till I see it by a reputible source. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

We are all so worried about players leaving early that have the rights owned by the islanders, BUT that was the trend with the gophers. One of the reasons being that the islanders didn't feel that Lucia develops players well enough. I would like to think that is different in ND. I have heard that the NHL likes the way that players can develop here. Gregiore is not a Toews type of player and has development in his game needed. This guy would do nothing but improve his contract by staying a year.

At one point in the interview he states" I can see North Dakota looking ahead, because they are the favored team" wow, game is on. This guy really is good. I was reading an article in the detroit news paper and this was said about thier goalie But plenty of teams have gone against Michigan thinking they'd be able to score easily on the 5-foot-7 Hunwick and come away disappointed. I think that we just need to play our game and the goals will come.

Why wouldn't they invite the leader from the Spirit Lake tribe. I pulled this from todays Bismarck tribune. Shaft said Dalrymple, Kelley, Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, UND athletics director Brian Faison and William Goetz, chancellor of the state university system, have been invited, as have Carlson and Sen. Bob Stenehjem, R-Bismarck, the Senate's majority leader. Seems like they should invite Spirit Lake to this too.

Your best bet is to wait the weekend out watch the final four and then go to stub hub come tues and wed. People who have tickets and don't want to eat them will be dumping then.
