The list of Mr Hockey MN has come out. Am I right that not a sigle one is a UND recruit? When is the last time a Mr Hockey Mn has not gone to the U of M?

With the new 24 game conference schedule, how does that work. My math skills don't work so well this early in the day? We won't play home and away series with all the teams. Is that correct? I know Hak said that he liked this set up at the presser yesterday. Why is 10 non conference a good number?

K, so my question, is there a come back player of the year award. Can he win rookie of the year and come back player of the year?

K, now that we know this are there any other players that are not playing that may come back this year? If I am correct what you see it what you get.

And the sad thing is, UND can't move on first because we were being told that the standing rock didn't have a voice and now because the spirit lake has a voice. Will these people please make up thier mind and resolve this once and for all.

I am a nielson rating home. I have not recieved my book yet, but I can assure you that Sioux hockey is going to be in my book. For some reason I think I will get this one of the next two weeks. So there will be at least 1 home rated. But maybe thery will reject my book because of supporting a hostile and abusive hockey program.

This is a funny conversation, but I do see what bulldog is saying. Look at what the SCSU rivalry or lack there of was before we got paired with them. When the new league starts up, my opinion, this will take this to a rivalry level.

If you don't want to pay what the market bears, sit at home and watch. If you are a season ticket holder, one of these kind of weekends you can paydown a bigger portion of your tickets. Nothings says fair market like what I can get someone to pay for them. Economics 101

It is a supply and demand thing. If they can get someone to pay $100 then that is what the market calls for. What is the difference between this and the inflated prices for the gopher or wisconsin series at the ralph?

I don't know if they would play second banana. Look at what happens to attendance when Minnesota isn't there. And yes there is a 6 team tourney, but after minnesota gets beat out, good luck.

I thought I read someplace earlier that the series the last weekend will be the one they will have them. Sounded like a production thing.

well ladies and gents, this is the kind of series that we all look forward to at this time of the year. I think that UND goes into Duluth with a chip on its shoulder and something to prove, just where Hak wants this team. We are looking up at the top of the league and I hope we are ready to bring them down about 5 more notches. Forbort has never played a game in Duluth and I am looking for him to help clamp down the dogs. SO here is my question for this series. Last week we had a general show up the first night and we showed a full Nelson the second game. What North Dakota players are going to step up this week?

Then there is me, I have not bought a paper for who knows how long. I am sitting here reading the paper online and having my coffee(which I made myself, i'm not a bought coffee kinda guy). On Midco it is on channel 314 in bismarck area on friday, but nothing listed for sat. Guess it is going to have to be tim on radio sat night.

THat is one of my favorite sports memories. I was sitting alongside one of Badger Bobs assistant coaches and we looked at each other and I said, Did that just happen?

K, lets take another angle at this network coverage. Lets say I live in the twin cities and the conference tourney is going to be in town. All season I have been able to watch the UND games on FCS and see how good the team is. Now I want to go and see them in person. Well, if I didn't see them on television, I probably won't be as up on the team and not be attending. Now lets go back about 11 months to the final 5. Without the UND following, that tourney is a bust. Sure some fans like me are going to go to the games. The first game there were about 5000 people. Talking with people at the tourney, they talked about watching the games all season long. Its all about the benjamins and this move may just cost the league lots of benjamins. Plus now the conference tourney is not going to be on a regional, so you need to buy the sports package to get it. I don't think the powers that be thought this one out to well.

I didn't know where to post this so i'll ask it here. Does anyone know if the Trupp that plays for the Alexandria Blizzard is a brother of Evan. Could we possibley get another trupp??

I would have to say that yes the game will be a sell out but you are going to see a lot of Sioux jerseys in the stands. Our fanbase travels well and they will come from Minneapolis, GF and beyond for this series.

I see this being a little like the texas decision. They go to an all longhorn network and A&M leaves along with Nebraska, Colorado, and who knows who else left. Do not think for one moment that the HQ's in Colorado saw this and didn't want it in the hockey conference. But the problem is, those schools do not have a following like UND does. We will not get FSN to pick this up, We will not get Fox because of the exclusivity. Your dealing with the big boys of network conglomerates now and UND has shown that when it comes to making decisions on the big level, they don't have the moxy to play the game. Example, FIGHTING SIOUX gone.

I guess that is another reason to keep my midcon. I am glad they do what they do, but as a whole to get more coverage of road games would be better. I am hoping that every one of the games that und is covered on is an away game.

I looked at my work schedule today and I am so excited that I can watch the game next friday. Do we know what channel it will be on for midco? Also getting back to pairawise. If we get a sweep next week, I believe we will go to about 12, is that correct? A split we go to about 14?

Another aspect of this is having the HQ's in Colorado Springs. They do not have a program that is highly followed and thus don't have the drive to aspire to the big time coverage in that city. UND sold itself short if it didn't put a clause in this contract to have its own coverage nationally. The new commisioner probably has no idea what kind of following UND has nationally. This is probably a case of lets hurry up to make a mistake. He definitly didn't do his homework on this one.

Who is there to get back. I think that Forbort was it. Sounded like o'donnel was a year ending kind of injury. I may be wrong on o'donnel but who else is there?

There is a chance that you may be able to see the friday night cc du game. My programing shows fcsp channel 315 in bismarck.

With the way technology is going. I would like to see a conference wide internet coverage so we can watch every game in hd streamed over the net. It would not be that hard to do. Take the local feed of the game like they do in the nba d league. It would work so tha tall us und fans can see more games.
