Give me a Parks, Gaarder, Stecher, Caggulia, Genoway, Trupp, do I need to keep going? These are the types of players the team is missing this year.

How can you say we have misfired on recruiting for 2 years? If you are counting incoming players those 2 years, we have Boesser, Jost, Gersich, leading the team this year. We have Shaw and Poolman playing well on D. JJ, Gardner, and Hoffman have shown that they belong. I would say this is a good couple years. If you are talking the true recruiting of the last 2 years, we won't see those players for a few years. Yes, it is frustrating that the team is underachieving, but misfire is not because of these players. Shoot, Ausmus has made mistakes that have cost us goals.

I am trying to show a way to bring cost down. Move them to another facility in town for games and practice. It is a program that needs to be looked at because of the amount of money it loses.

Shell game is strong with this program. I found my numbers in the state checkbook, which is public information.

So you are telling me that they pay nothing to rent for the REA? Wrong, I just looked it up and UND paid a total of 669K to REA. Granted, this is for everything, but this is exactly my point. It costs money to have games and whatever else there for the women. Here is a question that may be the elephant in the room when it comes to women's hockey. How much of that budget is facility use. Every time I look at the attendance on tv, I bet there is less than 1500 people (which may be generous) at the games. What is the cost of the team using the REA? Is there another facility that would better fit what this team brings in? Minnesota does not use Marriucci and I am not sure what the other schools use. Can anyone answer honestly what facility rental is for that program?

It isn't Berry who is the problem. This team has no leadership. Who can name the leaders in the locker room, because if anyone says Ausmus, they are mistaking. Last year Ausmus was a C by name only. We all know that Cags and Stetcher were the heart and soul of the team. When a team is expecting a sophomore and freshman to carry the team when the rest are pedestrians, there is a problem. So I go back to the question, who are the leaders?

I think this guy from gopher whatever is mistakenly thinking that Kennedy being a MN guy would fawn over an invitation to the PIG10. IMHO, he is wrong. Why would UND leave a conference where hockey is the sole focus for a conference where hockey is behind football, men's and women's basketball and possibly other sports too. Don't get me wrong, hockey is ok in MN and possibly WI. The other institutions don't have that priority like NCHC schools do.

I didn't directly tweet him, it was in a conversation about his ineptitude and untimely turnovers. I didn't even use his twitter handle. If you can only take the good, then as a soon to be professional player in the minors, he probably shouldn't be reading twitter.

Hope your not on twitter, he will block you for mentioning his ineptitude. Of course, I know you are referring to Casey Chartrand, right? This player you reference has been such a turn over at the worst possible time type of player.

I am having a tough time making a decision on going also. One reason may be the inconsistency of the team. The main reason is that the Target center sucks for hockey. They treat fans horribly. I get the whole seat argument, which I do stand by if I pay a higher price to not let people who pay low and want to sneak in. But I don't get how rude the ushers are for once you establish that you are in that section. The ice is always bad, the boards are horrible and the atmosphere is even worse. The place stinks, literally and tournament suffers because of all of the stated.

UND has D1 hockey championships, NDSU has FCS football championships. Who cares, I live in ND and love my teams being winners.

Mandan isn't adding another, they are replacing the old, but the new will have 2 sheets. Once they get the new one up and running, they old will be made into something else. That is my understanding.

I can't agree with Gardner for the simple fact of face offs. He is to important for that reason. Yes, his penalties are getting tiresome, but I have a feeling that Berry addressed that in between periods last night. He was on best behavior after that and actually was digging in the corners a lot after that.

In all reality, it they read anything, they are not doing what the coaches tell them. I do see what you say about #'s though.

I can also say that he reads twitter too much. I was blocked a few weeks back after I had a message that was critical of his play(which wasn't a message to him, didn't have his @wolanin or whatever it is, just mentioned his name). Get your head out of twitter and into the game. Ever since he was player of week for Omaha weekend, his play and the teams for that matter has stunk.

And your thinking is wrong. I find it hard to believe if Cam was hurt, Berry would have a hurt player bigger than the team. Cam wasn't seeing it well and was struggling. He was looking behind him numerous times on shots he blocked and it wasn't his GF he was looking at. Just look at last year and your theory is not good. Sorry to come off as blunt, but facts show Berry isn't that type of a coach to play hurt players.

I agree with this. I am thinking that Cam not playing this weekend had more to do with his lack of consistency than an injury. I think Berry being the class act that he is let Cam tie the record and then said he is hurt to let Cam take some of the pressure off himself. Some of those saves he missed seemed to me like he was overthinking because he knew the team was struggling. IMO Cam will be the horse we ride for the playoffs, this is just a breather to gain his positive mojo back. As far as Ausmus, I hope we get him back soon so that they can sit Wolanin. He hasn't been playing well and needs to get his skating and stick work back to where it was when he was the d man of the week against Omaha.

that is my fear, we all made fun of MN last year for not making the tourney when they host it. Well, I am hoping that isn't this team this year.

Who are the lunchbox guys on this team? I can't name one who is willing to go in front of the net and get dirty.
