That would surprise me considering their coach has said in the past that they don’t feel the need to travel West too often for non conference and I don’t see us going there without a return trip to REA. Granted he said that prior to us whooping QU in the title game so he could’ve changed his mind.

It was mentioned we are going to Canisius on the radio by Hennessy this weekend, and Mankato was confirmed by the Mankato beat writer a few weeks ago.

I’m interested to see how the defense does in NCHC play. Minnesota and Wisconsin were good tests but league play can get a little crazy...

I actually thought our defense would be the strength of the team this year, they were shaky for a good portion of last season but I felt down the stretch and into the playoffs last season you could see the growth and potential of the group. Plus, that is where our experience is - defense and in net (prior to Cam's injury). I was thinking the defense and goaltending could hold down the fort while the offense with a bunch of new guys figures things out.

Funny you mention linesmen- one of them is the brother of a former coworker who left a “Gophers Rule” note on my desk upon my return from the Philly Frozen Four. Jones is definitely my favorite player this year.

The article said Granato is not sure the desire to continue playing after next season is mutual. Or that’s what the journalist interpretation was since there wasn’t a direct quote where Granato said we didn’t want to continue. Frankly I’d be surprised if we didn’t want to continue playing. I know the scheduling agreement was set up by Hakstol and Eaves, but still. Side note: Did anyone else see Mankato is back on our schedule next year? It was reported out of Mankato but it was such a casual mention I almost missed it.

I do not think Yon has played center. Regardless, if we don’t have Hoff or Olson and Simo still isn’t ready, we’re probably gonna be double shifting a center. They did say eventually that they’d like to try Mismash at center.

I think he meant YouTube TV isn’t on Roku. If you don’t have a TV provider BTN2Go does you no good.
