Senden is a potential future captain. He’s captain of the Force, captained a state title team, plays against other teams top lines. He has a lot of intangibles. Jost staying would have changed the dynamic of the team significantly. It would drop Gardner to 2nd line center and Jones to 3rd line center, and that 3rd line would have created a mismatch for other teams.

Since we have one conference sweep, I see a perfect opportunity for a second conference sweep.

He’s already signed his LOI, which you can get out of, but it is a bit more firm than just a verbal. I’m not sure they’d have him sign it in the early signing period if they weren’t sure about bringing him in. Seems weird to me.

JBD could be ready, but like you said, logjam at D with no seniors this year and only one possible early departure. I bet he stays in juniors, and would like to see him in the USHL, but not sure that’s likely.

Berry said on Monday on the Midco show that Jones was “progressing nicely” - and I actually thought we were more likely to see him back before Gardner. So perhaps he’s not too far off a return also. Bast had a brace thing on his wrist so I’d say he’s the furthest out from making a return but I could be completely wrong too...

I’m concerned what they’re doing in practice at this point.

The schedule is favorable for UND to move up. 3 teams at the bottom of the league and at home to close with SCSU, who isn’t as strong of a road team as they are at home. I am cautiously optimistic. UMD is off this week so perfect time to move ahead.

Well. I am pretty sure the last time we played CC he did. Whenever he picks a split we do better.

Ive gotten the impression a lot of media members have already buried this team. So this is probably what we are gonna see.

I understand that point of view, I just see it differently. Yeah that sucked, but we had to score the extra attacker goal to even get the tie. I’d be a lot more pissed with the loss.

Depends who you talk to. Personally, I’m okay with the tie based on the lineup we put out, and the fact that we could have lost that game with the 5 minute major. But I’m clearly in the minority. *shrugs* We still have a chance to win this series and the season series with DU.

FYP And yes, that was my point. SCSU is spiraling downward and I think UMD could pass them.

With the way Duluth is playing at the moment, I’m not sure they stay in 4th to be honest. I see Western and SCSU tailing off more than anything. SCSU has 2 wins since Christmas break.
