He committed in April. Backed out last month because he wanted to be close to home. Then UND got in the picture along with a bunch of other schools. Probably committed too soon before he realized there were more options for him. See it a lot these days.

To be fair- Half of those PP goals we gave up were in one weekend (Denver).

Look, we don’t recruit power play guys. We recruit 2-way players. Look at our roster. How many of those guys do you think are specifically built for the PP type guys? Kawaguchi? Adams? This team is built for even strength. St Cloud recruits to their Olympic sheet. They recruit power play guys. That’s why they always have a good power play.

How much energy could we possibly have tonight with all the guys playing PK? Radio was saying Mismash and Adams (as examples)? hardly played 2nd period because of all the penalties.

The other guy is so much worse.

I’d expect we’ll see a different 6th d-man pretty often. Gets everyone experience. Then they’ll settle on one for the stretch run.

If this team is going to continue to take crap penalties, we are probably going to need him on the PK. PK has sucked without Bowen.

Hate to inch away from the negativity among recruiting... with good news, but... 3 UND recruits are playing for Canada West at the WJAC tournament. (Tychonick, Bernard-Docker and Blaisdell). I didn’t see this posted anywhere yet.

Perhaps, but Mismash at least warranted a camp invite if you ask me... *shrugs*

To add on to this, I would advise people to stop over analyzing recruits and their stats. If Berry and Co. don’t feel they can contribute to the program, they won’t be here. There are several recent former recruits that were let go for various reasons. Most of us haven’t seen any of these kids play extensively anyways.

I like 22, I just didn’t like him on a line with 19. As for 29... I felt like too much was thrown at him that he wasn’t quite ready for as far as throwing him up on the top 2 lines to start the season. I like him in a 3rd/4th line role at the moment and that he could have a larger impact in the second half and into next season.

I’ll be surprised if Bowen is back to be honest. Didn’t someone say he was wearing a boot?
