this may have been covered, and if so , i appoligize, but are people actually happy with the earlier start times for the games, or am i in the minority.  it really makes it a challenge if you work until 5;30-6:00 on a friday, and it kinda limits to what you can plan to do on a saturday.  (this is if you attend the game in person)

I hate the earlier start on Fridays. I live in Fargo and basically have to request to leave early if I want to go to a Friday game. The early time on Saturday doesn’t bother me though.

Slipec will be playing in the USHL for Chicago. Having two of the top draft prospects on the same team is going to be fun to follow.

Bowden Singleton will be in the USHL this year too. Didn’t see what team. Think that means all our recruits (pending any new commitments) besides Hedquist and Wiebe will be in the USHL.

I suppose if you go 5 for 5 it would seem great, but I would almost guarantee you that all of them wouldn't show up on campus.  Some will disappoint and keep getting pushed off until they decide to go elsewhere, and some might rip it up and choose to go another route.   Suffice it to say that if we went 5 for 5 we would most likely end up with another Cole Spicer situation, so maybe the coaches wouldn't even want 5 commits.   3 commits last year seemed great.   It doesn't hurt to use the transfer portal a little to fill in with experience and a proven commodity.

The amount and quality of players in the transfer portal is going to drop off once the players with the extra Covid year option run out of eligibility.

    Something to keep in mind.

Just curious from the perspective of others, with the list that is down to 5 - what would feel like "success"?  We weren't going to go 6 for 6.  Since these 5 are decent possibilities what would be the hope/expectations? 5 for 5, 2 for 5, 1 for 5 - maybe depending on which ones?  Just curious.  I don't post but I read most of these and can tend to get disappointed if I have high expectations/hopes but the reality is not there

If we get one of the ones I’m thinking we have not a good chance at I’ll chalk that up as a win even if we miss on some others. I love a good surprise.

Realistically, I’d also say we can maybe get 2 from the list and I’d take it.

The cities are bountiful; bound to happen. Moorhead/Section 8 would sting.

We haven’t gotten a Twin Cities recruit that didn’t have a connection to the program since Berry took over.

It is what it is, but I think we’ve gotta start getting some because it impacts getting future recruits from the Cities.

Yes, he's quite the blue-chipper.  Scored 15g in 59 games with the Lancers last season as a 19yo.  ;)

Denver had an open forward spot (so does UMN), so just needed a body.  I would guess UMN will pickup another older forward recruit before the season starts too.

Minnesota has 9 D. Heard they may just have one play at forward if they get desperate instead of finding another forward.

We’re in his final three supposedly, so we can cross our fingers.

… sounds like it’s really between the other two though so Berry would rrrreeeeaaaallly need to pull a rabbit out of his hat.

Zellers, McInnis, and Eiserman would be an excellent trio to join Boisvert.
Lock 'em up, Berry & Co!

There is a better chance of getting all five guys @AJS previously mentioned than there is of getting Eiserman. (So not great).

Wow! After reading that I don't know how in the hell he managed to have quite possibly the most amazing run of recruiting maybe ever. If I was committed there, I would be running for the gates!

Well that article doesn’t mention the allegations of misleading recruits on scholarship money. That’s gotta play a part in that somehow.

I would be quite surprised if Judd is bottom six.  Transition includes defensive responsibility as well as offensive, so I think the coaches are more apt to go with the experience unless the freshmen transition fast on both ends of the ice.

Judd also disappears from a production standpoint for really long stretches at a time every season. I know he is valuable in other ways but for a team that has struggled scoring I don’t think he’s pencilled in for top 6 at all. Gaber is literally the only guy who played top 6 last year that should have their top 6 spot secured. The other spots should be up for grabs.

They've updated "five" to ... nineteen.

What in that list makes me happiest?

This has to mean "Hain is cleared to skate and cleared for contact."  :)

The name not going to a NHL-dev camp that surprises me most? Costantini.

Costantini is drafted by Buffalo and the article has theirs as “TBA” and I saw they haven’t announced their camp roster yet. So he could still be going.

Looks like Nick signed with the Blackhawks on June 19, 2016.
Definitely not as late as Jasper...that would have also been before the NHL development camps as well.

Okay thanks. I remember he signed quite a bit further into the summer than guys usually do but wasn’t sure exactly when it happened.
