yeh top 4 seeds lol dont htink we will be that close that soon. by the time we get to a top 4 seed, i think this nickname dispute will be settled and ncaa would want to avoid negative press. lets be hones here the football program is just a cylinder at this university and HOCKEY is the oil that runs the cylinder. if no hockey (no oil) then the motor blows up. if u think im wrong, go look at the financial statements. football loses money and hockey covers for it.

I highly doubt the NC$$ would take away scholarships, recrutiing tools, etc etc. why would they? just cuz we stood up to them about OUR nickname? Is there anyway that the house/senate could force standing rock to have a vote? if it goes either way id be fine with that. If thelke it, we got both the tribes approbval. If they dont, do away with the nickname. LET THE MAJORITY SPEAK!

Everyone says its damaging to the student athletes if we keep it. Well how is it damaging? Kelley doesnt want the nickname cuz he siad is damaging to others. What is it damaging? Thank god we have an active house who isnt scared to take on the NCAA Also what post season tournaments can we have held anyway? The hockey regionals arent at home arenas anymore. Is thebig sky tournmanents at the end of the year ncaa or are they big sky? WCHA palyofs ncaa or are they wcha ran?

I also dont see und going on a 9 game winning streak to win the mcnaughten. I think they lose one of the tech games in the playoffs and end up in the final five title game but lose it. However i woudl be happy in losing firday nite at the final five so we get that extra day of rest unless we absolutley need it to have a shot at number one seed. And therefore we cant mkae the we are tired excuse as we did last year.

I think the GFRR GFC game hurt it a lot. The purp was packed. Lot of standing room only.

WOW was the purpur packed tonite. Unbelievable the support it had even with the womens hockey big sell out campaign 3201 in effect. GFRR and GFC played a dousy of a game. RR dominated first two periods and GFC dominated the last period and RR won 5-3 with a empty netter. this game was intense/heavy hitting from the beginning. Lizotte from RR is a stud. I suspect he wll be in the ushl next year even tho hes a sophmore. U no its a gfc vs gfrr game when the city had to plow off the gfc practice football fields for more parking lol!

Talked with a few people tonite and said that tonites session even though its in grand forks with all fargo teams but grafton had more attendance in it then the east region last year thursday nite session. Cheaper rent at purper plus more people paying equals a hell of a lot more money. I understand state is going to the scheels center in 2 years and the scheels cetner will ahve the edc next year and they hope it draws well as they barely broke even last year for the edc tournament there. KUDOS to devils lake in bringing more people than GFC had there. GFC barely had a student seciton whereas red river maybe had a 10 row deep one still not that great but i guess you could make the argument the kids have to pay to watch.

Looks like the west has a bit more parity haha. I think the EDC is up for grabs after these afternoon games. Any one of the 6 teams who havent lost can take it.

GFRR 7 davies 0 GFC 3 DL 1 Both pretyt good games. the red river game got out of hand int eh third but before that the dacvies goalie stood on hsi head. THompson from DL had several scouts at the game looking at home. Didnthave his best game of his life by any means

Matt Malm has passed away today. Condolences and prayers to his family.

Ive also never had to wait to use librarys services. Often times when im in there its usally after 6pm and it sure is dead in there.

Maybe the distractions of the New York city life was a little too much? But i agree on the coaches behalf to give the kids a break and do something fun on a long road trip.
