  1. There was nothing JPar could have done...the D left Conner camped out on the backdoor, perfect pass...wide open net. I would have scored on that one.
  2. Would that be the '98-'99 team that lost to us 5-0 in the state semi's
  3. How does Chris Conner get nominated for Offensive POW with 1 goal.
  4. That's just because the refs break it up right away so the emergency personnel don't have to come on the ice.
  5. Class A games start Wed. at 12:05 Albert Lea faces off against Breck at 12:05 and Wadena/Deer-Creek plays South St. Paul at 2:05 Starting at 7:05 Warroad plays Orono Hibbing and St. Cloud Cathedral face off at 9:05 Class AA starts on Thurs. Class A Bracket Class AA Bracket
  6. and your point is............... Yes, Drew Stafford is a good player too, but Murray is 17-22-39 on the year, good for 3rd on the team, and Stafford is 8-19-27...which is good for 6th. Stafford is a good player, but I believe IMHO that Murray has contributed a little more this year than Stafford has.
  7. Do you mean this note..... That's been there since the nomination process began.
  8. So as long as they play for the Sioux, right? Diggler, yeah, I got the reference, Animal House is one of my favorite movies...I just didn't get why it was said I guess (or did you mean that for the Sign Article thread... ) I think Derek Edwardson (Miami-Ohio) deserves a look as well...Maybe Thmoas Pock (UMass), but he's tailed off worse than an SCCC swoon. Barrett Eghoetz and Jerad Ross (of Niagra and UAH, respectively) get a little consideration, but being in the CHA...I don't see it happening.
  9. I think Duluth might have to flip our comparison before we would be out in Michigan...seeing as how we start with a 5-0 lead, I'd say it's rather unlikely. I don't want to retype them, so here they are from USCHO..... Michigan Tech @ North Dakota, 5-1, 6-2 Sioux...Conner gets 1 assist to go 1-1-2 in 6 games vs. the Sioux, is awarded the Hobey on the spot for accomplishing such a daunting task. Crazy Claude tries his stunt again on Friday, fails to catch himself and falls onto the ice, where Matt Greene and John Scott team up to kick his a$$, Greene then turns around and beats Scott sensless. Mankato @ Duluth, 6-1, 4-3 (OT) Duluth...Mankato puts Stomper in goal after Volp and Clarke sieve it up in Game 1...actually keeps it close for the Landcows, but Tim Stapleton and Luke Stauffacher pull out the Annexation of Manitoba, which leaves Stomper and the D confused...and at center ice. Stapleton used his stick like a pool cue to knock in the GWG. Alaska @ Wisconsin: 3-2 (AA), 3-1, 4-2, Wisco...Pi$$ed off about losing the Governor's Cup Anchorage takes game 1. Fournier, thinking they just won the series, goes out and celebrates too much and McDonald's (and BK, and Wendy's, and Hardee's) and is therefore pathetically slow the rest of the series. Bucky gets a hat trick on Sunday. CC @ Denver, 5-3 (CC), 4-3 (DU,OT), 2-1 (CC,OT) CC...Denver loses in OT 2-1 for the second straight year to be eliminated from the WCHA playoffs...Gwozdecky tries recruit Michael Vick and Brian Urlacher after seeing the Nike commercial which has them playing for the Avalanche. Is shocked to find out that they already have jobs... St. Cloud @ Minnesota 5-2, 4-1, Minny...Vanek gets a shorty...on an empty net... and Minnesota fans say he deserves the Hobey for his great defensive skills. Dahl is once again pi r squared and says he feels they still have a shot at the NCAA's. When they don't, the Llama says they weren't expected to...to which St. Clown extends his contract 10 years, assuring 10 more years of swooning agony for SCCC fans. Tiebreaker: 34...number of bone fragments in Scott's face when the Greene Giant gets done with him.
  10. I think that if you look closely there is more depth on a lot of teams this year, so no one is depending on one line to produce all the points. Also the trap seems to be making it's way down the ranks into college hockey. But I don't think it has as much impact as the increased depth. Buck's numbers may end up around Reinprecht's 2000 numbers this year.
  11. Billy Bong Thorton was definately in the equation. Wesley Pipes made an appearence too I hear.
  12. Junior Lessard, and Steve Saviano as well. How much do you think Boechenski's past (that lil counterfeiting incident) will play on Hobey voter's minds? Over on flamefest.com they seem to think that he has no chance to even make the Top 10.
  13. That's what I meant. Since the neither the AR's or the goal judge saw it well enough to overturn the call. Mason had no choice, as he isn't allowed to review it this year in the regular season....that's at least what I tried to say (albeit not very well). I thought the Friday game was well called by Mason, as well as a pretty clean game played by both teams. Saturday, though, was getting pretty chippy.
  14. I just got off the phone with him. Right away I told him that Yane made the signs and mentioned SiouxSports as the place where ideas float around. Yane, your post couldn't have been more timely (dunker's too). I mentioned every sign that you guys listed, plus several more that I could tink of. He thought I had a list made out cause I was just rattling off signs we've had in the past. He also wanted to know which ones had been censored (Banners, Not Manners and Fix the Huskies) and I told him about the 5 years for Hooking one too. He laughed at almost everyone I told him about. I think he said it will be in the paper tomorrow. Thanks to those who shared their inputs....now back to your regularily scheduled sign thread.....
  15. What a nice little situation we have this week in the PairWise. The only comparison we are losing is Maine (would be tied if they BC had split with them). Well, the only comparison that Maine is losing is BC, and the only comparison that BC is losing is us.
  16. Good idea, I hadn't thought of it. So, it is, isn't it?............
  17. haha...I remember that. Good old Plante(secutiry guard in the box), he was laughing and shaking his head. forecheck was in no danger of being booted. Plus, it WAS a horse$h!t call.
  18. Mt buddy got a free temprary membership from them last week...he's 22 I guess they're recruiting younger and younger nowadays.
  19. 1. No. 2. Drinking that much would put me in the hospital for alcohol poisoning. 3. I can do that in San Antonio next week, with a very good looking female.
  20. The goal definately would have been waved off...from the replay I saw, it got maybe halfway across the line before kicking back out. But, there's no replay in the regular season. Mason had no choice but to call it a goal. I definately think there should be replay though (in the regular season). Make sure that correct calls are made in situations like that.
