The X is the best place to have it. It's not as much a home ice advantage for the Gophers than you seem to think. The Gophers play on Olympic ice...the X is an NHL size sheet. The higher seed team still gets last change...another big advantage. Xcel seats 18,000...is centrally located to most WCHA teams...and is in a city, much more to do than towns like Grand Forks, and Mankato

They wouldn't have to drive that far...St. Cloud is much closer

At the 2nd intermission today, Ryan Bakken approached me and asked if he could interview me for a article he was doing for the Herald about them (the signs). I'm suppossed to call him Monday morning for it. What I am asking for is which signs you all thought were the best ones, as he wants to "feature" a couple of them in the article. I have my favorite (Jones Zone ), but I'd like to know what you all thought we're your favorites as well. Yane...forecheck is going to email me your name, so you can get proper credit for all the work you put into making these for the games this year. All in all it was a great year in the student section. Thank you to all who threw out ideas whether they were used or not (special shout out to Diggler, a lot of good ideas...I'll see what I can do about mentioning your name too). Cheerleaders, my name will be in the article...look me up (shameless plug). Ballard from Tallackson....beautiful shot. 4-2 SCCC got luck that Hendricks didn't get more for that high-stick. I thought it should have been 4:00, possibly 5:00.

Ianazzo 3-2 2:00 to go in the 2nd Ballard's stick fell apart...I think it made a difference.

Ok, that was insulting...camparing me to a Bison fan...now I'm mad. But, back to the demands..... Dirty/Diggler's...the ones that started the phenomena...... 1. I demand a written apology 2. I demand John Scott gets in a fight this weekend and doesn't wait for the linesman to get in between before throwing punches 3. I demand that I be given free Dippin Dots 4. I demand that fan appreciation actually means I get something cool. 4a. I demand that a half naked poster of Brandon Bochenski does not qualify 5. I demand that I not be nearly strip search when entering the arena. I'm not a freaking criminal and you don't need a damn blood test. Leave me the hell alone 6. I demand that they not insist on seeing my ticket before I am allowed to go to my seat. You know who I am, you know where I sit. Leave me the hell alone 7. I demand that UND installs a booster seat on the visiting bench so Jon Pittis can see the action. 8. I demand that Ziggy plays on saturday should UND clinch on friday. 9. I guarantee Warroad has more per capita. Detroit did not call itself Hockeytown until they won the Cup for the first time in 40 years. It's a fairweather fanbase phenomena.
