Ferch was a highlight reel, his best was when they played St. Johns in the NCAA tournament and he dunked on Walter Berry, one of the best forwards in basketball that year who they called "a man playing with boys", that was incredible.

Rumor is Ward will be back next week, Cherry's foot is not broken but no word on when or if he will be back.

On paper it should be an easy win, but you never know about these rivalry games, teams play above themselves and strange things happen, a couple turnovers and all of a sudden it's a close game in the 4th. 2 years ago was probably the biggest gap, it should get a little closer the next couple years now that UND can fully recruit as a D1.

I feel like I've gone through the wringer, that was intense. That game was there for the taking, just couldn't quite connect when we needed it. And that Kristo penalty at the end...unless he did something I didn't see live or on the replay the DU guy pretty much threw 3 free punches and should have been the only one going. Tomorrow is now a crucial game.

Grand Forks is on a roll, first Ralston and now this...eesh.

Well, with the exception of the crap goal that Gothberg gave up this has been a great game, both teams playing good hockey. And Kristo...The King of the Iron...how many times this tear? Unreal.

Good first period, lots of energy for both teams. Man I love these NBC broadcasts.

3 games on tonight...Yale @ Qiunnipiac, Notre Dame @ W. Michigan, and the UND game. Been a good year to watch college hockey with CBS and NBC.

I would hope for the sake of the victims we would show a little bit of class.
