the second cc goal was a result of #24 falling asleep and not watching his man slavin just creep up to the net for an easy back door goal. same thing happened last sat night against simon fraiser.

hey jim, how do we know who is actually right on this as you and uscho have different results than chn? this could lead to a lot of confusion come march.

I don't disagree, a split would probably leave us in the 22-26 range in the pairwise and yes would make landing a home first round series a little more difficult. beyond this weekend and next I don't see any series where you can actually say this team can sweep it. I'm not saying I want a split but look at last years team, they had just swept holy cross and were on a 7 game unbeaten streak and then just laid an absolute egg at home against cc on friday night.

for whatever reason, cc and und have always matched up really well and have some very close teams over the years. sweep don't happen very often for either team whether it be home or away. even some of the best und squads didn't sweep cc at home. cc is better than their record indicates and I'll agree with godsmack with a split. and it just seems that whenever hak says they have had a good week of practice it doesn't materialize. cc win tonight and und bounces back tomorrow night with a full 20 hours of ship jumping on this board tonight into tomorrow and the fire hak thread reaching all new levels of lowness led by gfhockey.

as we all remember from last year even the ncaa regionals are a joke as attendance means more than anything.

after going out to bc and splitting with what someone on here called two jv programs there is no chance und sweeps a legit ncaa team this coming weekend and with these two teams it could be a pair of snooze fests of 1-0 or 2-1 games.

the reason the field was so crappy was that they had laid the sod just over a month ago and it was in the process of rooting and a few weeks ago the dallas area had a terrible ice storm and the field was covered in about an inch of ice that they couldn't get off till about a week ago as they had a whole week of sub freezing temps and the sod was destroyed so they laid new sod down but it never had time to root. so it was just one of those things.

I don't think anyone is making excuses, it was a bad loss but it also was in a game that doesn't count and maybe they learn a lesson from last night that they can build off of this second half. in the college hockey landscape this loss would have looked much worse 10-15 years than today as take a look at college hockey today and who beats who. go back to when holy cross beat the gophers and I think that was just the start of what you see today as there aren't many holy crap did you see that this team beat that team any more.

yep and as we have learned all you need to do is just get in.
