I said it earlier in a thread as you want to be safely in the top 10 in both versions after the conference tourneys and you should get in.

I should have stated it better as I meant Miami's tourney performance has been weak and the ccha conference was weak and I stand by that as it had 3-4 good teams and 8 teams that lack for a better term were garbage and those 3-4 good teams beat up on 8 bad teams. the WCHA had it's share of bad teams as well(UAA, TECH, BEMIDJI, MSUM and some years Duluth)

still could happen, they have enough talent to win a first round series and then win the nchc tourney for a ticket to the dance and we all know you just need a chip, a chair and a chance.

the AFC as a whole sucked in the mid 80's to january of 1998 when Denver beat the Packers they lost 12 or 13 in a row and most were never close.

how about you go look at uscho's pwr or the one on the siouxsports that jim dahl uses. if you were looking at chn's than yes they were at 14 and now they are at 13. thing is no one knows for sure which version is right. unless you are actually a member of the committe and know exactly that chn's is correct I would suggest you settle down and get off your soap box.

und was 15th entering the game and now sits 16th-drop one spot. last week going into the weekend they were 17th, didn't play and moved up to 15th, moving up two spots. this thing is going to be as wild of a ride as the nchc race.

maybe this is a confirmation as to just how weak the ccha has been over the years and they just beat up on the weaklings as we all know their tournamnet history when they get there and the nchc isn't filled with ccha cupcakes.

finally someone out there who sees some reality in the fact that und doesn't have the offense to sweep a very offense oriented team. some out there will say uno has horrible defense and states back it up. but this same und squad struggled against an equally bad slu defense a few months back..

especially for a team that is .500 all-time in the ralph.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say there won't be a sweep either way.

you've seen plenty-you watch the nhl and other college hockey. although that brings up a what if scenario, say und wins friday night and then wins a shootout on saturday, would they do a stick salute beings it wasn't a true sweep?

you just be quiet about ties, you just want to see the farce that is called a shootout.

unfortunately that is the society we live in today. back in the day this would have never happened but this is what society has evolved into as no one can hurt anyone's feelings or say anything remotely negative about little johnny. just imagine if the coach would have put these kids through a "tough" practice to get their attention. I remeber when I was in junior high school and the upperclassmen skipped a moring practice as was tradition to go out for breakfast. that afternoon the coach put us through a practice we would never forget, but we learned a lesson that unfortunately could not be tolerated today because it would be considered too harsh.

IF UND were to finish 7-3 the rest of the regular season, win its first round playoff series and win one at the Target center I think they would end up in that 8-11 range. but there is alot of hockey left starting with this weekend.
