It sure as hell can't be that Berry has forgotten how to coach D. That has been his bread and butter for what 20 plus years. He can coach then on what to do but again the players need to execute. Seems like it might be a roster full of kids with learning disabilities

The mistakes this team is making are ones that are made at the Peewee level not at the elite NCAA level.

UND was lucky to get a split against Minnesota. Out shot 2 to 1 on the weekend bailed out by Deridder. If UND gets outplayed like that this weekend they will easily get swept.

Just imagine where UND would be if they would have played a real team that first weekend instead of Holy Cross. Low 30's in the pairwise??

I know I am in the extreme minority but when it comes to hosting playoff games it should be based on what you do on the field not how big of a pocket book you have. As long as a minimum bid has been met the better team should host despite what the past 50 years have shown. Just go play and win.

I was never a fire Hakstol guy and you can go back through 15 years of posts to verify. We knew what his teams were and what to expect. Slow start and go on a tear to the Frozen Four where the letdown and heartbreak happened. Berry is different and has a track record of either not making the tournament or one and done. Poor performance on the ice comes poor coaching and over evaluating of talent. I think it is clear that he does not think this is one of the top programs anymore as where is the high end talent. Yes he won a title in 2016 but with Hak's kids which included a first round pick. The last time they had a forward who was a first round pick was 5 years ago with Jost. Every time he has had a chance to bring in a high end forward he has messed it up and they went elsewhere. I will reserve full judgment until end of season but things aren't looking good at this point.

All grind(all be it no grit) minus speed and skill is where UND is at. They can get blue chip defense but no forwards. I hope they have taken down all speed kills signs in the locker room area as it has become irrelevant with this program.
