the BIG difference between UND this year and Duluth two years ago is that in all liklihood we end up in a region with minny versus duluth who got shipped out east with yale,union and air force. there is not a chance in hell we get paired up with the likes of yale and qu. if we go east we get unh and bc/lowell in a region or bc/lowell and qu. pretty big difference there. also the title of this thread should be duluth theory not denver theory as DU didn't even make the final in 2004 when they won it.

I'm okay with us losing last night, what scares me is the thought of just really getting screwed next week. something to the tune of us in a regional that looks like this UND-BC, UM-UM in grand rapids.

and then as soon as they scored he went back to the other lineup.

what's amazing is Notre Dame is like we were last year in that they could be anywhere from the number 3 overall seed to being out of the tournament.

I just hope the team that played Sunday shows up and not the one that did friday night or for the first two periods on sat. 3-2 UND.

not really, their win today really didn't do much for us. our record against them was already taken into account.

I'm not scared of BC this year. they are a good team but not of the caliber of ones we have seen in the last 5-6 years. i'd take being in a regional with them over minnesota any day of the week.

unless Brown were to upset them and win the ECAC then brown would go their as the host school and QU would be sent elsewhere.

hypotheticaly speaking. say und runs the table this weekend and ends up being the fourth number one seed. in the past five years or so the committee has "protected" the top two seeds from playing against host teams. where I'm going with this is if michigan were to win the CCHA and get into the tournament don't be surprised if UND gets stuck in grand rapids playing them in the first round and minnesota goes to toledo and miami really get screwed going to manchester. obviously a lot would need to happen for this to even be a converstation and I think miami puts an end to this on sat afternoon knocking off michigan.

I don't think we'll see rocco on the top line permanately again this season. we will see him in spurts throughout games but the majority of his time will be spent on the second line.

whatever it was hopefully it continues for the next four weekends.

someone over on USCHO was comlaining about this as well and the red wings scheduling thing is what someone said was the reason why.

if Michigan does win, how would you like to be minnesota now as the number one seed in grand rapids(michigan is the host team)?

not necessarily the duluth route but I have come up with several scenarios where we win thurs, lose fri to minnesota and niagara wins atlantic hockey we end up the 8 seed potentialy facing yale in QU's region in providence. I've said it before I just don't want to be in minnesota's region.

exactly, anyone not named Niagara winning the Atlantic Hockey will take that spot along with Michigan if they get a few bounces inthe CCHA tournament.

could somebody please explain to me why we would have been so afraid to play mankato? they didn't see our A game down there and barely got a split.

I was happy to see this as well, I was thinking the same thing. maybe things have changed in houghton.

whether we win or not tonight we will make the tournament. we need to see what this team is really made of tonight. enough of the sleepwalking through games. for the first time all year the SIOUX show up and win 7-2(4 in the first and Rocco has the hat trick).

does anyone know if the league can review this and lessen the major penalty?

looking by your name it looks like you are a vikings fan. so in all your years of being a viking fan you have never stated a critical thing about the team or made an observation that was less than wearing purple colored glasses. even in the 1998 NFC championship game where they blew their opportunity to go to the super bowl or agianst new orleans when favre blew it? if you don't like what I have to say don't read them, but I have every right to come on here and give my opinion whether it it positive or not.
