How does a 6'4" 250lb QB run for a 39 yrd gain. The D needs to wake up and quit getting stupid penalties. They're killing us out there. They run the option for F sakes.

After watching the latest Sioux "effort" there are only a couple things that come to mind. Either Hakstol motivates this team and teaches them some discipline or this will be a long, disappointing year. They flat out got out played, out hussled and out classed in every aspect of the game. I don't know what happened to this team over the summer, but we went from a high octane, fast team to a bunch of slugs who don't look like they even want to be on the ice. There are more problems then a little slump going on. I just don't think there is the effort needed to be a successful team. I just wish the players cared as much as the fans and showed some heart. Just sad. Lammy played his butt off and didn't get any help. Hopefully these guys make me look like a fool by the end of the year.

Doesn't look like a good team at all. If the team doesn't improve the Ralph will look like a Expos game by the end of the year. I think it is time for Lammy, too many weak goals given up by Parise. He has made some great saves, but the weak goals are discounting the big saves.

IMO there are 2 divisions for college football. DI-A and not DI-A. Don't tell me you are a DI program until you are playing in front of 50,000+ fans like your Notre Dame's, Michigans and FSU. There is no major difference between DI-AA and DII, other than you have to bring all other sports up to DI to play a NON DI-A league in football. So win the NC in baseball, basketball or whatever DI sport, then let me know. There is the top and everything else in college sports. DI hockey is the top division, DI-AA football is NOT. Therefore DI-AA, DI-AAA, DI-A 2.0 or whatever the hell you want to call it is not DI-A, which is the top division in football. In the real scheme of things no one outside of the schools and local communities competing care about a DI-AA or DII national Championship. Hense no one outside of NDSU will care even if they win the DI-AA title, which they won't win anyway. If all you NDSU fans want some respect, go DI-A in football or shut it. Don't CARE. Seriously we don't care about DI-AA.

It doesn't surprise me after what I delt with in my 5 years at UND 97-02. One of my first days on campus I pulled into the circle in front of Walsh Hall to unload some groceries. At the time I had a broken arm and I could only carry a bag or 2 at a time. The "Parking Natzi" saw me pull up and knew I wasn't moving too fast, but wrote me a ticket after like 5 minutes. I "discussed" his actions with him and he told me there was a 5 minute rule or something like that. I got his name and went to the Traffic office to complain. After 1/2 hour they finally folded and gave me a warning. It wasn't my first or last time at the Traffic office. Classless bunch, at least when I was there.

We played Kansas, you know Kansas basketball a couple of years back. We didn't consider ourselves D1 in basketball after that however. BTW what DI powerhouses will your basketball be playing next year? Still selling Fargo the idea that Duke is coming to town?

It looks like UND and NDSU haven't forgot about it, otherwise the issue would have been dead the day the season was over. Good luch against D1 apponents, you're going to need it. Also, DI-AA football is not DI. When you are playing legit DI opponents, let me know.

Even IF ndsu "won" the Nickel in a lawsuit, how proud would your student body be? "Hey guys, we couldn't beat UND in the last football game before we moved to DI-AA, but we got the trophy back in court." I'm guessing your student body would be very proud of the trophy won in a lawsuit unlike on the field where men won it. Bison Pride Also, didn't a UND grad donate the trophy? Why do Bison fans think the Blue Key owns the trophy? When the Blue Key dissolved at UND our Student Government took over rightful ownership.

If I remember correctly, you have to MAKE the NCAA playoffs in a sport before you say that you would have make it to the quarter finals. At this point I don't think there is a large number of UND alumni and fans that are demanding to go DI-AA. I don't know of any, maybe in 5 years is what I've heard most of the time. Also, I'll bet anything our 2 DI teams will win more national titles in the next 10 years then all of your DI teams. Remember football is DI-AA, not DI, and that is your BIG sport. Right?

It's good Parise will get to play with the Devils this year, but what about next year? Will he play with the Devils minor league team if there is a work stoppage? I would hate to see the kid playing in the minors next year, for the sake of playing the last couple games of the year for the Devils. I just wish the Devils would leave our guys alone until their 4 years are up. Not likely however. As for the others who may be leaving (Greene, Stafford, etc.), they should look up Bryan Lundbolm and ask what he now thinks of leaving early. I can see Parise leaving early and going to the NHL, but leaving early like Commodore and Lundbolm and playing mostly minor league hockey isn't worth it. Who knows where these 2 would be playing if they would have had another year of seasoning. I know Commodore is now up with the Flames, but it's not like he is getting much/any ice time. Either way, we've won 7 titles without Parise and none with, so we know we can still do it. Skate for #8 in 2005.

I think the Gophers should be forced to play the Thursday night game also, then the WCHA can have 3 possible night games (although not likely). Add that to the Minnesota Rule and I won't have a problem with it anymore. Go Sioux.
