Thanks to all of you for your warm wishes and prayers. Thanks especially to our friend Nick. If it wern't for his story and caringbridge site ( http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/nickosseo11 if there are any newbies out there) I would not have know about this disease, and there's no telling how much longer we may have waited. Nick's dad Chuck was in contact with me that first weekend after we saw the GP, and provided references from Nick's doctors for a great pediatric oncologist in the area. Without Nick's site, I would not have known how critical time is as far as getting quick treatment, and would not have been so persistant with the local clinic with getting us to a cancer treatment center. This is the hand that we have been dealt, and we are starting to accept that. Now, let's get back to hockey!

Geez you guys, I really appreciate the thoughts, and the FTA idea, but I really can't accept it. Something about it just doesn't feel right. I just wanted to share this horribly ironic story with you. I told Pete (PSB) to please donate any money to St Jude Children's Research Hospital (here). Thanks again. Will is a trooper, he's handling it better than any of us!

I'm afraid I have some sad news. Last Friday my 3 year old son Will was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, or ALL. We have been in Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI since Monday. We have a CaringBridge site set up at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/willjacob Please keep him in your prayers. So far the prognosis is good. Bob

I'm also a big fan of Tim. Really sad.

Any news on the WDAZ-FSSN contract?

Chuck Schwartz is reporting in his Badger blog that there may be talks underway for an outdoor game at Camp Randall in Madison between the Badgers and Gophers. Www.noalibisnoregrets.blogspot.com

Chuck, Sorry It's off topic, but do you know if Nate Condon from Wausau was recruited by the Badgers at all? Just seems a shame he'll be a Gopher in 2009-2010. Thanks

Has anyone heard if FSSN's hockey contract will be renewed for this upcoming season? I heard Sweeny talk about it on their last game. I'm planning on getting a FTA system from Pete, but with my luck, they would change over to the WCHA network or something like that.

I'm looking forward to watching him in Green Bay. Maybe I could even contribute to the "monitoring their junior league play" thread for once.

Yeah I know, he doesn't really know any better right now, he loves all the mascots. He loved the Husky in St Cloud and even yours in Minny as well...I'm sure in a few years he'll come around!

Thanks to you and your dad for meeting up with Nick in Minneapolis, and I hope you continue to brighten the lives of the kids of St. Louis.

I'll get to meet Mikey in a few weeks. The UW coaches are going on tour, and making a stop here, burgers brats, etc. My son loves Bucky Badger, so we'll be there. Tix are $25, and they are planning on 1,000 people.

Ok, use this link for the latest Priceline wins in the Boston area, and be sure to check out the Hotels link at the top of the page. If these games are at the Agganis Arena, then I think you'll want the Cambridge zone for PL. Looks like Brighton-Brookline would also work, and maybe the Copley zone. I've never been to Boston, so I may be wrong. Bid here for Priceline. Looks like the Cambridge Hyatt that 31-9 talked about has come up for $60-$75, but it was when the internet rate was $149. Right now the internet rate is $319 for those nights in October. Typicaly PL works best 1-2 months out from your selected dates, but you never know, can't hurt to try I guess. Best thing to do is research those zones you want to stay in, and avoid adding zones that you don't want, so you don't end up there. A lot of times what I do is book a room conventionaly through normal channels, one that you can cancel 24 hrs prior to check in, then keep trying PL. You may end up not getting something until the week before (sometimes the day before), but you can still cancel your res at the "Roach Motel" and stay somewhere nice for the same $. If you don't get something on PL, then you still have your backup plan. As far as airfare goes, looks pretty high out of GFK and FAR right now, $700-$800. Usually the fares for October come down in July or August, but with the rising oil prices, who knows. I just read that some of the airlines want to raise fares 20%, so you may be better off now. It's about $280 out of MSP. I'd get 6 people together and pile in someone's minivan and head to the Cities.

I'll check out the Priceline angle for ya and get back later tonight.

LOL...damn Rick Rolls....gotta love em!

Darn. I'm only 2 1/2 hrs from Minny...oh well, probably better for the team anyways. I'm off for the Duluth series, so I'm there, and hopefully I'll be off for the Tech series. Haven't been to either venue, so those are next seasons goals, along with Kato. I should be able to make Kato, too (OLAY!) . Now if UND comes to Madison Nov 14th/15th count me in for that too, but the goofs are in town against the football team that weekend, it would make for a busy weekend (book your rooms as soon as the schedule is released if this is the case). The 7th/8th football is @ Indiana. Looks like Detroit may also be do-able now, one hour non-stop flight from here...(yikes...at this rate , I can see divorce papers by March!)

Is there any way to tour the old Ralph? I have never seen it, but would like to.

Will the Sioux be going to Madison again, or do the Badgers travel to GF? I know there's some sort of alternating years agreement in place, but unsure of what it is.
