Good point, I forgot about that. In fairness though, the same emotions displayed from one of ours may be charecterized as "enthusiastic"...as they should be. That's what makes us biased...otherwise, what's the point in being a fan?
I think you guys should of had 4. You have a very solid team there, great passing, good puck handling. I like Lofquist's spirit for a freshman. Stoa's backhand 6 seconds in was pretty awesome. It could be ugly in January at the Ralph (especially without the students there).
UW's team lacks crisp passes. Many times during the PP they would lose the puck back into the neutral zone. Stick handling isn't that great either. Gardiner seems to be pretty solid. I'm sure after last years battles, Coach Eaves will have these guys geared up for a battle this weekend, but anything less than a sweep would be dissapointing I think.
Gloves dropped in Madison, White vs. Grotting, goof on losing end.
5-2 Gophers
Grotting ejected, White still in. White was pounded on the ice, not throwing any punches, just taking them, basicly a punching bag.
I hope he was able to watch it...but with no internet coverage, the only way to see may be if you get it through Comcast or Charter mainstreet. Hopefully someone gets a grainy cellphone video of it...maybe later on youtube. I have Hennesy's call of the GWG, and Hak's comments I'll post a little later.
Today in Thief River I heard on the radio Michael Forney of the Green Bay Gamblers scored 3 goals in 2 minutes and 17 seconds, a new USHL record.

I agree. What do you think about either BE or AW starting both games, rather than splitting the starts? Would it give the guy a bit of a boost in confidence if you say "your my guy for both games this weekend"...sort of a "trial by fire"?
