Depending on how close you are to the airport, I would keep an eye on this flight. Right now they are showing a 230pm departure from FAR, arriving 309pm. If the mechanics can get it fixed sooner, you may leave sooner. Keep track of it here

AA problems probably won't affect too many Sioux fans unless traveling from LAX, ORD,JFK or DFW. For today, looks like 2 of 3 flights cancelled from ORD. 5 of 6 from DFW. 1 of 1 from LAX, and 1 of 1 from JFK. Good thing DEN is't a hub for AA, or it would really be ugly.

Man, I can't believe they're aren't 2 people that need a ride!! I'd do it if I lived up there. Next year, the route to the Frozen Four from Grand Forks to D.C. takes you through Wisconsin, namely Madison...save some room in the trunk for me!

You can do BIS to COS leaving 12APR return 15APR for $189 ($222 w/tax) on NW. This would get you to the Championship game but not in one day, there will be no deals for a Sunday or Monday return....still checking for Thursday. EDIT: Doesn't look promising for Thursday, over 1K for an overnighter. Checked Fargo too. The best thing to do is check sites like Travelocity, Orbitz, etc, as well as the airline that serves those airports (sometimes you can find last minute deals) daily, even several times a day, as the prices change quite often. This link provides recent Priceline car rental wins in Colorado, and looks like you could get an economy car for as little as $10/day at the Denver airport. Depends on what size vehicle you are after, but check out the site and you should be able to make a succesful offer based on those postings.

They are morons at the Kohl. They wouldn't let my 3 year old bring in his small Sioux kids goalie stick. The ticket guy said it was a banned item. I said "are you kidding me, he's 3?", he went to get a supervisor, who must of been moonlighting from Walmart. I told him they sell the damn things in the gift shop, except they are red, because we bought a Badger stick the last time we were here (he has sort of a collection going from the different arenas...yes, one is black, maroon and gold). Anyway, he caved and told me to "keep it hidden" like the d-bag was doing me a favor.

Congrats! Glad it worked out, and looks like they upgraded you from a 3* to a 4*. I've stayed at a few Grand Hyatts through PL and never have been dissapointed. Per their website, they are getting $229 for Friday night and $309 Saturday night, not a bad deal for you! By the way, it was nice to meet you in Madison!
