With all of the comments I have read here and other boards, I seriously wonder if we all watched the same games! If it's maroon or green colored glasses we wear, I think most of us can agree that the WCHA officiating is suspect

I would agree with you if he skated across the ice from the bench and laid him out. When Barribal came into the zone and got nailed by Finley what's the diff? You cant have it both ways, you cant say its tough Sioux hockey vs cheap Gopher hockey. If you do, well then, you do.

Why does the "cant take the heat" comment from most Sioux fans not aply here? Peltier is not Boogard. Trupp puts them on like everyone else. Your team has alway taken on all commers (sp?) like most of you say "its hockey".

I hope the officiating thread is longer than this one. The more I think about it, he screwed up and will pay the fan piper for years. I wouldn't be suprised to see all types of birds at Sioux games from now on. His actions were cl...a momentary lapse in judgement. Guys give other guys the bird all the time, we call each other much worse as best of friends. Although, he is in a position where it should result in some type of suspension or fine and then be done with. The bottom line is my concern is the cause, not the effect. The officiating has to be dealt with, sooner rather than later. Both teams felt they needed to deal with things themselves, both teams thought the officials werent handling it correctly and it escalated to the mess at the end. Bottom line is a black eye for the WCHA, its time for some make up remover courtesy of the league.

When you go down in the regional I will come back to finish this. I am not giving the gophers credit, I just wouldn't be pushing the chest out after beating a team that sucks. I have trolled long enough congrats and good luck the rest of the way.

Ok, did you watch the games? If you think the difference is major we agree to disagree. I would rather have your team this year, I dont think its that much better to say we suck when you were in a game for the entire 247+ minutes we played this year.

When you are playing a game the standings dont matter. You can talk crap all you want about where you are in the standings. Is that what measures your team at the end? Would you want our two trophies last year or your shot at BC? I am saying the difference of where you are and we are doesnt matter. This game won't mean crap in your regional, when you play like you did yesterday and last sat. night you will figure it out. I know we will be at home, originality would be interesting....

Wow what an evening! I know many of you won't care what a gopher fan has to say but, its why this media is available. 1. Hak' flicking the bird is an embarrassment to college hockey. He is a leader, a coach and a representative of UND. Embarrassing. 2. Wheeler was a knob tonight. 2 stupid penalties cost his team opportunities. 3 Have to love the rivalry! 4.I hope this is the first round playoff match up. 5. I know you guys think Finley is tough, I would love to see him go at it with Stu Bickel. 6 The third person in crap from the Sioux. I dont care who Peltier was fighting. Its Peltier! regardless, you dont come in as a 3rd. Bush League. 7. Both teams need to handle emotions better, play the game in a physical and intelligent manner. Both teams lack of composer hurt tonight. 8 I laugh out loud every time some of you say we suck, You havent exactly seperated yourselves from us much. 9.Minnesota has no excuses to not have home ice. Look in the mirror Gophers. 10. Lammy is a VERY GOOD goaltender. Loved the dive call. I havent watched the Tivo of the game and I wont comment on the end of the game. Both teams had it out and I am sure it will continue the next time they see each other. Not your typical UND/UM series but very entertaining. Good luck the rest of the way, Hope to see WCHA success. If they didn't practice, I doubt its because of a coaches trip to see a committed recruit. Don't flatter yourself on the biggest weekend of the year, That was when we lost Stoa 4 points are 4 points, the first week of playoffs will be our biggest weekend.

Your team is going down this weekend! Lucia-Carman-Flynn will have 6+ points and you will all be calling for Haks head and comparing Lammy to Frazee!! Reality check..I think this is going to be a very physical series, If we can FINALLY finish some scoring chances we have a shot. Would be very happy with anything more than 1 point. You're objective is clear allright Getting to the Final Four is easier than earning home ice in the WCHA playoffs? Not looking for an arguement. You had 2001, we have 2007-8. I was told from a young age not to get into a war of wits with an unarmed man More than likey what? If you don't sweep us at the Mucci, Dubay may be correct. You have had a tough schedule, you split almost all series with teams you would likely see in the tourney. I am done as well.

Touche' I have no delusions that I will be in Denver watching the Gophers in April. I am not sure who I will see when I am out there, I do think this Frozen Four will be very interesting by who the participants are.

Would that apply to you as well? If he doesnt agree with your assesment of your team, HE is wrong? You dont agree with his assesment of his team and again, HE is wrong. Maybe its to simple coming from a Gopher fan. We will find out in March and April.

We are all homerish to some extent. JD is a Gopher fan and usually is fairly complimentary of the Sioux when they deserve it. My guess is that you asked a question like..How can you be so stupid to think......I wouldn't respond either. Goon was likely asking and giving a lucid opinion and was given Dubay's. If you give respect, you recieve it. I may be wrong, I am just saying if you come off as someone he can have an intelligent, although sometimes biased conversation with, he always has time for a respectful college hockey discussion. He may think that recent results vs. MTU, MSMU and Alaska arent the best gauges of your team against the top teams in the country. He will be the first to admit he is wrong often. Its his opinion and obviously it holds some type of value to you Oxbow. Goon-enjoy the blog. I have never met redwing77 before. After reading his takes on here, I would buy him a beers to listen to his opinions on various hockey subjects. I may not agree with everything he would say but, I know I would be enlightened, educated and enjoy my next hockey game even more after the chat.
