  1. Never would be a full membership.
  2. I feel bad for that kid. If Don is still the coach when he arrives he has no hope of developing!
  3. I hope you have a real comfy couch! I'm not so concerned about the upgrades, my problem is with the employees!
  4. It would be fun to be in the west regional but with the NCAA, you never know!
  5. I got that same email. Are they only having the bottom level open?
  6. That's a good idea! I live in Bloomington and have been going back and forth on getting tickets.
  7. Never understood why a lot of schools in hockey country that have endowments like that, don't add the sport.
  8. Chubby fingers, I meant billion
  9. Like I said earlier, it's sports affiliation only. Johns Hopkins didn't need to join the B10 for academics or for money, as the have a $3.5B endowment.
  10. I'm pretty sure UND would only be an affiliate member in sports only.
  11. Adidas has just posted what their new hockey jerseys will look like for the WCH. The NHL has signed a long term deal with Adidas as their jersey provider and I am assuming it will only be a matter of time before they hit the college ranks. Anyone have any thoughts? http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/first-look-at-adidas-stripes-on-world-cup-of-hockey-jerseys-211318092.html
  12. Obviously, I don't have that power and I am just stating on why I wouldn't like to see it. When the B10 started, most of the teams (Gophers and Badgers) stated that we needed THEM to survive but now the tables have turned and it does not seem like we would need them. There will always be pros and cons with everything and if a decision was to be made right now, to me the pros do not outweigh the cons.
  13. That's not the only reason to not join the B10. UND doesn't really gain anything by joining the B10; they wont be asked to join the B10 in football, basketball, or any other sport. Why should they sacrifice leaving a hockey dominated conference and go to a conference where hockey is below B10 wrestling? To me it doesn't make any sense and sets UND's hockey program farther back. Playing the likes of Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State just doesn't excite me as much as playing CC, Denver, Omaha, or Miami.
  14. I get that but my point is that those schools that are in the B10 put more emphasis on their other sports and have no problem moving games around for other sports to fit the needs of their big time money making sports. I get why the B10 does it but to me I dont see how it would benefit UND or any other school in the NCHC to play in the B10. Also just because you join the B10, it does not mean you are a full fledged member.
  15. They are terrible and are noticeable from far away. They are not even the right material. Are you looking for a gamer or just a regular authentic?
  16. I'm not sure you are understanding my point. UND is in a great conference already, what do they have to gain by joining the B10? The teams suck, B10 is a football and basketball conference(you said it yourself) and you have you accommodate your conference schedule to make it appealing for B10 football/basketball. I'm sorry but if I want to go to a weekend series in early October to see UND vs. Michigan, I better not be waiting around in Ann Arbor in between game days. Also, I dont get excited about playing Ohio State, Penn State or even Michigan State; when we can play the likes of Denver, CC, Duluth, St. Cloud. By joining the B10 we would be the little school without much say in the process (because we all know if you are B10 across the board you carry more weight).
  17. Big Ten schools: December 12 (Thursday)- Michigan vs. Wisconsin 1:30pm October 29th (Thursday)- Penn St vs. St. Lawrance 6pm CDT January 28th (Thursday)- Penn St vs. Michigan 6pm CDT January 17th (Sunday) - Michigan vs. Ohio State 4pm CDT March 6th (Sunday) - Michigan vs. Ohio State 2pm CDT October 22nd (Thursday) Michigan St vs. LSSU 6pm CDT November 22nd (Sunday) Michigan St vs. Michigan Tech 3pm CDT November 29th (Sunday) Michigan St vs. North Dakota 2pm CDT Having it happen 8 times is not rare, having it happen ONCE or Twice is rare... My point being (outside of playing Thursdays and Sundays) is, I don't want hockey to be taking a back seat to other sports and that is what is happening to the B10. I understand that hockey isn't a big revenue sport for the B10 but for us schools that are used to it being the sport on campus, to me it doesn't make sense to make that jump and be shuffled back down into obscurity.
  18. My point isn't about having the crappy B10 improve, my point is that hockey is in a growth mode and the B10 is regulating it to bottom tier status. I couldn't care less if every team in the B10 like playing their games on Thursday afternoon or Sunday afternoon, personally I do not want to see UND's big conference games on a Thursday or Sunday afternoon during that time. Like I said before, college hockey is played on a Friday or Saturday night (until you get to tournaments). If I was any school looking to join a new conference, I would stay away from the B10 and join a conference where all programs want each other to succeed.
  19. And it proves that the best team doesn't always win...
  20. http://www.citypages.com/news/what-happened-to-the-university-of-minnesota-hockey-program-7960026 http://m.startribune.com/big-ten-hockey-is-a-buzzkill-for-fans-in-minnesota/370397541/ After reading the struggles that their fans and the BigTen are going through. I for one would not want UND to join the BigTen. UND and the rest of the NCHC are doing great (outside of holding the tournament at the crappy Target Center). I do not want to watch college hockey on Thursday night are during the day during the week. College hockey is meant to be played on Friday's and Saturday's. To me, playing in the BigTen means you are getting regulated to bottom tier status compared to other sports and college hockey does not need that. So if it were me, I would tell the BigTen to kick rocks and go sleep in the bed you made. Also, Don Lucia needs to be fired. That smug attitude of his is bringing down the Gophers program.
  21. well Cincinnati is East of St. Paul
  22. its simple... finish ahead of St. Cloud and be placed in St. Paul, finish below St. Cloud and travel out East.
  23. They had it advertised for awhile....
