  6. It's choppy, but I wouldn't call it blurry. I bought the monthly pass last night ($10.95) so of course I'm going to watch again tonight. If I had purchased the first game for $6.95, and you're asking me whether I would do it again for another $6.95, it's real close. I'm not sure it's worth seven bucks, but it's close. Hope this helps. Dave
  7. Ha ha, well I was close. I've got UND 5-2 tomorrow night, with a big first period, and that feels about right. Dave
  8. FYI if you plan to watch the webcast of both games, you can order a monthly pass for $10.95 (rather than individually for $6.95 each) and the pass is good for one month from date of purchase. Friendly reminder/warning: it is a recurring monthly charge that you will need to remember to cancel (unless you enjoy watching spinning, floating tiger heads all season long...) Dave

  10. It's an interesting measure of how close the teams are, that's about it. And fwiw, I wish the committee would use it instead of the Pairwise, for too many reasons to list here. Dave
  11. Nice. As I mentioned the last time I wrote an article about my predictions, it's as much about the nature of the games played (tight and low scoring, blowout, predicting which team will come back late to earn the tie, etc.) as it is about following UND's Friday/Saturday split pattern. Picking UND to win a close one and lose by three is quite a bit different then saying "UND will win Friday and lose Saturday". Like I said, not everyone will salute. Dave
  12. North Dakota finds itself in 11th place in the Pairwise rankings after the split; Colorado College is 19th. Other WCHA squads in the top 20: Denver (3rd), Minnesota (10th), St. Cloud State (15th), Nebraska-Omaha (17th). Or if you are a believer in KRACH, UND is 13th (194.5) and CC is 20th (137.1). Dave
  13. I should apologize for being right... From my weekend preview before the series; I correctly predicted a three point weekend for North Dakota the last time around, but I don’t think it will go that well for UND in the rematch. Dave Hakstol’s best chance for points will come in Friday’s opener, with Notre Dame winning handily on Saturday night. UND 3-2, Notre Dame 4-1. As we all know, last weekend went down like this: UND 2-1, Notre Dame 5-2. And for good measure, my prediction from Notre Dame at North Dakota (November 2010): This series feels like a split, but the last-second loss at Omaha last weekend is not sitting well with Hakstol’s crew, and the Fighting Irish will be happy to take a point. North Dakota 5-2, 2-2 tie. The results of that series from two seasons ago: North Dakota 6-3, 2-2 tie. I'll keep running my predictions up the flagpole each week and we'll see who salutes. Dave

  16. Should be up within the hour! Dave
  17. (From my preview) By The Numbers All-time Series: UND leads the all-time series, 135-75-8 (.638), including a 75-31-2 (.704) record in games played in Grand Forks. Last Ten: North Dakota is 7-3-0 (.700) in the last ten games between the teams. UND has outscored Duluth 36-19 in the past ten contests. All three losses were by a single goal, including two overtime defeats. Dave
  18. I agree with the goalie switchup. Zane needs to play, so why not start him tonight? And I was also thinking Panzarella in for Gleason at least once this weekend. Dave
  19. That's very close to what I've got: (From my preview) UND will come out flying on Friday after last Saturday’s dismal performance in St. Cloud. The Bulldogs won’t have an answer for North Dakota’s team speed and will find themselves in an early hole. Saturday’s rematch will be a tighter checking affair that will go down to the wire. I feel like North Dakota will rally to tie late and survive overtime for a three point weekend. UND 4-1, 2-2 tie.
