  1. Nosotros le adoramos Phil!
  2. No, no, no. Not that guy. Isn't it him? Telly Tavaris? Telly Tarvaris? Telly Savalas?
  3. AZSIOUX has done well for himself, too, and the season hasn't even started yet!
  4. Yea, if you think 'spectacular' should define a cheap-shot. Scott Stevens was a great defenseman, but the number of hits where he left his feet to hammer someone, got his elbow or forearm right under someone's chin, or went with the shoulder to the mouth hit...well, it speaks for itself. Scott Stevens Top Ten Hits
  5. I don't know about Tavaris Jackson, but I think Tarvaris Jackson has impressed the coaches, yes. The local media here has RIPPED McMahon and I think his goose is cooked.
  6. I've long known that hockey in Bloomington has long been "Jefferson" and "what's that other school on the other side of town?". It's bad enough being a Sioux fan in that neck of the woods... Yea, I'm very excited for him to start. I wish I'd have had the opportunity to learn to skate when I was young. SW North Dakota is still pretty new to hockey. Oh, off topic again. Ed McMahon has a better shot at making the Vikings than Mike. Sorry, Jfr.
  7. First the "Snow in North Dakota" thread and now another one throws me for a loop. When I first saw "Who Will Score More," my first thought was that my money was on Paris Hilton followed by Runninwiththedogs!
  8. Sorry 'bout that, Jfr. Hope this makes you feel better. I like Rutgers and their nice clean jerseys! I'm sorry, to say, though, but the news media here has been very critical of Mike McMahon's play and the biggest morning radio show here was busy nailing his coffin yesterday. Take a good look...you won't see this during the regular season.
  9. Has it really come to this? Former rivals in many sports now reduced to arguing over who is better based on attendance in DI-AA or D2 football games? I miss the good old days...
  10. Oregon can say that "new and trendy" brings in recruits just as easily as Penn State, Notre Dame, or Michigan can say that "tradition" and "conservative" brings in recruits.
  11. I picked up the uniform tonite. Not sure it's easy playing hockey Cooper-alls, though.
  12. I'm letting my girlfriend pick the movie. Two for "Tears over Paris." "Ohhhhh..." Everyone was cryin' around me and I was like 'hey, what's up?'
  13. Funniest commercials ever...listening to a John Tesch CD, staying 2 minutes past 5:00 pm...on a Friday!. Hilarious stuff.
  14. Sheesh, HockeyMom...first milk out of your nose on "KESSEL UPDATE" and now this? I'm officially "HockeyDad," now, too. My 4.5 year old is a Bloomington Kennedy Mite.
  15. Not all change is bad. Of course, I say that now. Just wait until the Reebok "swift" hockey jerseys are debuted in the NHL this year. UGH.
  16. vs Good move, NYI! NOT! vs Was this one even a contest? Who designs this stuff? And way to ditch 30 years of Sabres history by scrapping the colors! vs Yep, the first colors that come to mind when I think of 1776 are black and Vegas gold! Back to the topic at hand, JIM McMahon has a better shot right now to be on the Vikings regular season roster than Mike McMahon!
  17. I'd hardly compare leather helmets to one-bar helmets to today's concussion-resistant helmets and say that those we bad changes. Nice of you to put in the classic Redskins jersey though to prove Dave K's and my point. Since you're so up for change, I have a great idea. How about we pull a Buffalo Sabres, ditch 70 years of tradition and change the Sioux colors to hunter orange and camoflauge and design new jerseys that fans of Eminem and K-Fed would love? Change...embrace it or loathe it!
  18. Ted Ferguson...Bud Light Daredevil... Today, I'll be attempting a stunt so dangerous that NO ONE should ever perform it. Going to Mariucci Arena...to cheer on the Gophers!
  19. But he did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
  20. All hail DaveK! Today's sports clothing isn't geared toward the "fan," it's geared toward your gangsta-rapper wanna-bes and hip hop generation. I love nothing more than walking up to a guy wearing a Mitchell and Ness Julius Erving #6 New York Nets jersey from the 1970's and saying "Hey, Dr. J was THE MAN" and being greeted with a blank stare and a "huh?".
  21. Great. She meant that your tickets for "Rent" were just received at home.
