Actually, I believe it was the 1994-1995 season, Lucia's second year at CC...still can't believe that travesty. If memory serves me right, CC had 30+ wins and 10 losses in the regular season before losing to Tech twice in the WCHA playoffs. To NOT be selected for the NCAA tournament was an absolute joke.

Was that 1994? I remember Tech winning two more games to go to the Final Five title game...only to get absolutely dismantled by Minnesota...

Exactly what I'm seeing. Brown vs Union, Canisius vs Mercyhurst, and WI vs CC spells D-O-O-M for St Cloud. If BU beats UMass-Lowell tomorrow or Michigan or Ohio State wins the CCHA title on Sunday, those NCAA speculative brackets drawn up over the past few days will be absolutely blown up!

Colorado College is leaving the Broadmoor with the WCHA. The MacNaughton Cup belongs to Michigan Tech and also obviously stays with the WCHA as well.

I would have to check the Tech-less years... EDIT: 82-84 regular season Broadmoor winners: 82 NoDak 83 Minnesota 84 UMD Colorado College has never won the Broadmoor Trophy, whether awarded for the regular season OR the playoff WCHA championship. Go CC Tigers!

I believe you mean playoff title only though, right? Did CC win one when the trophy was given to the regular season conference champion after Michigan Tech left for the CCHA?

You're right, they won't go 0-6...they'll go 0-3 including not scoring on a five minute power play...

Tons of folks wanting to sell...had one guy tell me he would pour gasoline on his tickets and burn them before selling them to a Sioux fan. Wow.

You are not alone in that opinion. There are two things that don't go well together in downtown St Paul on St Patrick's Day...and I'm not talking alcohol and getting behind the wheel of a car. I'm talking alcohol and any fan wearing a maroon and gold jersey. Nothing brings out first-class pricks like Gopher fans pounding down beers and their team losing a hockey game...unless it's their team WINNING a hockey game.
