You chuckle when you hear the words "The Platinum Fox" even though you never made the trip to Columbus. 6. You read something on the board that infuriates you so you text your SiouxSports.com buddies and tell them to go check that thread out ASAP. 5. You get the text message from your friend in Reason #6 and your text reply back is "yea, already saw that." 4. You PM posters on the board because you think they might be interested in your spring cleaning items. 3. You have a back-up moniker to pass off as your own since the guy sitting next to you at the game is more than happy to let you know what a "moron" your real moniker on the board is without realizing that it's you he's sitting next to. 2. You have someone from the board designated to post any unfortunate announcements on your behalf (already been done - we miss you, THETRIOUXPER). And the number one reason you know you're addicted to SiouxSports.com is... 1. You have the sit-down chat with the kids to let them know that while you think they're still too young for their own Facebook accounts, you're going to let them pick their own SiouxSports.com moniker and sign up.

In the spirit of GPL's "You might be a Sioux fan if...," I thought i would add a more positive thread over here to help kill some time before next Thursday. So let's hear it...the moment that you just KNEW there would never be another team for you...

I'm pretty sure these were up before the weekend's regional tournaments were completed. They just picked four teams to show a sample of what items for sale would look like.

Reporting back after a two-day trek over to GPL...not much to report...some good conversations. Some guy named Bucky7 stirring things up...the thread on "You might be a Sioux fan if..." is mildly amusing...some good posters, some not-so-good. Basically, it's SiouxSports.com minus a "Fire Lucia" thread.

Correct. For some reason, I thought UND wore the greens in '98 because Michigan wore their yellows. I was wrong.

A simple youtube search reveals that UND wore the home whites and Michigan its road blues in that game. D'oh. Obviously wrong about a third jersey rule.

Yes. I wasn't being facetious with my post...there were many slight rule changes made after that fiasco in Ann Arbor. I wasn't aware that some of them had been revised or scrapped.

Had North Dakota played Michigan State or Ohio State in '98 at Yost instead of Michigan, I have zero doubt that UND would have steamrolled Michigan a week later in the Frozen Four. The "reward" for being a top seed should not be a regional trip to the lion's den.

Why is it that all of the hockey coach supporters are lumped in as "lifetime contract" Kool-Aid drinkers who kneel daily and pray to Dave Hakstol bobbleheads? I just don't get that...

A round of cheers today for Ryan Braun in Milwaukee as he returns from his suspension... Barry Bonds to present Andrew McCutchen with the 2013 MVP award in Pittsburgh...and he has some sort of "special hitting assistant" job with the Giants... Mark "I'm not here to talk about the past" McGwire has a new job as hitting instructor with the LA Dodgers... We hate cheaters in baseball...unless they're OUR team's cheaters. Then we cheer for them. Roger Maris, Babe Ruth, and Jackie Robinson must be rolling over in their graves.
