I saw plenty of Union College in the past three years including all three of this year's tournament games - this was a solid team all the way around. I had a feeling Minnesota was in trouble tonight...and they were indeed.

National Championship game 1.5 hours away and this place is a morgue...oh, what could have been. Did UND fly back home yesterday or did they stay in Philly for the game?

Great post. This group came a long ways and deserves a lot of credit for leading this team to the Frozen Four. They will be missed.

Wanna drive down there on Saturday night, park a couple of chairs on a corner, grab some popcorn, and watch the sparks fly REGARDLESS of who wins or loses the title game? It's gonne be EPIC!

I'm proud of this team's accomplishments, too, but I have the opposite feeling. I'm not sure there's ever been a more stinging loss than this one. Make the '98 regional at Yost seem like an exhibition game against Simon Fraser.

I don't care if Lucia, Potulny, and sagard were out there in the face-off circle with .6 to play...big frickin' deal. The game was over.

There's not much lee-way in the rule for "well, he didn't mean to get his stick in the guy's face." I'm not griping that this is the NCAA hockey version of the Raider/Patriot "tuck rule" game but it still sucks.
