  1. What town is that by? I'm pretty sure I've seen that place.
  2. I'm out. The "entertainment" is the game. Save the one-on-one shoot-out gimmick for All-Star weekend.
  3. Nice work, Tiger bullpen! You guys suck. Go Royals and Cardinals. Party like it's 1985!
  4. I think they're the Nokota...
  5. Tommy Schaff...I hope you have finally found peace. Sleep well, my friend. Anchors aweigh and Bantams forever.
  6. Cal's defense was sporting their new Eastern Washington jerseys.
  7. Pretty good call here, too.
  8. Wazzu QB Connor Halliday passes for 734 yards in a 60-59 loss to Cal. Wow!
  9. ...and an INT with 30 seconds left ends it - Spartans hold on 27-22.
  10. Rutgers fans storm the field...after beating a 2-3 football team that just fell to 2-4. Wow.
  11. Michigan State is totally blowing the game against Nebraska. Oh...my...gosh.
  12. No time to worry about ebola or ISIS...God's got to pull some strings for a football team today.
  13. (moved from the 2014-2015 thread) This is what I'm referring to when I talk about the ridiculous-ness of putting floor or carpet logos in... http://miamiherald.typepad.com/flapanthers/2010/10/panthers-to-fine-players-for-walking-on-logo-one-which-is-still-in-urinals.html http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2013/07/21/photo-bruins-rope-off-logo-so-justin-bieber-cant-step-on-it/ I'm a 1980's guy...nobody ever felt our basketball court logo was "disrespected" when they had a jump ball or people walked on it. Then in the 1990's, football teams in particular started dancing on opponents' logos on the field either before the game or after a victory, which caused some skirmishes (I'm talking about FSU and Miami in particular) and all of a sudden, it's "Egads! We have to remove logos everywhere so no one walks on the floor there - it's disrespectful." Obviously somebody sometime never thought it was an issue or else the logos wouldn't have been placed on the field, in the carpet, or in the floor in the first place! It continues even today...only now the disrespect is everywhere. http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/story/2013-11-02/north-carolina-beats-nc-state-stomps-on-wolfpack-logo-rivalry Even Bryce Harper got in on the act... http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/big-league-stew/bryce-harper-drawing-heat-for-scuffing-braves-logo-at-turner-field-180042555.html Should we stop putting logos on center ice for fear of teams skating over them?
  14. Someone help me out because I'm confused...pay attention to the difference...North Dakota is the Roughrider state, but Roosevelt and his crew were known as the Rough Riders? Which one is correct?

    "Force"?

I'm in favor if it's expanded a bit to be the University of North Dakota Prairie Dakotans of the North Force.
  16. Yea, he was probably right, too. After all, you can't expect quality picks in the late first round anyways, right?* *sarcasm alert
  17. "...versions of Prairie..." Sooooo original.
  18. Prairie Wolves? The nickname for a coyote is the best we can do? I'm MafiaMan...and I do NOT approve this message.

    "Force"?

You seriously are in favor of a four-word nickname? University of NORTH Dakota Force of the NORTH. Again with the same word in the university name and nickname. Groan...
  20. Good old Denny...still can't believe he wasted a first-round pick on a guy whose own college coach told him NOT to draft him.
  21. Teams don't typically draft QB's to tell them "sign here - you're our career-long back-up." The Vikings will try to sign a veteran on the cheap.
  22. OK, NFL, we get it...pink is all about awareness...All. Month. Long. Like I said last week - Ponder comes into the game and you KNEW the Vikings would not DARE to call a pass play...and Atlanta STILL couldn't stop the JV running squad.
  23. News flash: it's gotten plenty of press from Twin Cities TV, radio, and newspaper, as well as online. I think you're reaching on this one.
  24. Yes I have...and I am quite certain it was a point of contention of anti-nickname groups not happy with fans walking all over Indian-head logos.
  25. I never said anything about his brother...point of clarification. Jonathan has twice brought the cup to Winnipeg and he obviously feels a connection with his hometown. I think UND was a short-term stepping stone for him on his way to the NHL and the school and GF aren't as near-and-dear to his heart as some fans think they may be.
