  1. I watched ESPN on Tuesday night and they were talking about the "odds" of Philadelphia winning at Minnesota - I believe it was 17%. I laughed out loud and thought "book it, 76ers win." Andrew Toney, Darryl Dawkins, Mo Cheeks, Bobby Jones, Charles Barkley, Clint Richardson, Julius Erving, and many other great 76ers must throw up in their mouths a little at what management has done to this organization.
  2. I thought the same thing when looking at some of Riley's past season records..
  3. OK, Nebraska wants a coach to win "big games," eh? How's this? Mike Riley's résumé: 1998: a 44-41 home win over #15-ranked Oregon, who came into the game with an 8-2 record (Oregon State was 4-6 at the time, finishing 5-6 on the season) 2006: 33-31 home win over #2-ranked USC, who came into the game 6-0 and wound up 11-2 and Rose Bowl champions). OSU also beat Oregon and finished 10-4 on the season 2007: beat #2 ranked Cal in Berkeley 31-28. Cal had been 5-0 at that point but would go on to lose 5 more games after the OSU loss. OSU finished 9-4 on the season. 2008: 27-21 home win over #1-ranked USC. It would be the only loss on the season for the Trojans, who went on to beat Penn State in the Rose Bowl. OSU came into the USC game at 1-2, but would finish 9-4 on the season. Looks respectable, especially for Oregon State, but didn't the Cornhuskers just FIRE a coach for losing 3-4 games a season?
  4. Riley's done an outstanding job at Oregon State. Why do you think that he's such a poor hire?
  5. Florida will pay $5 million to CSU as part of McElwain's buyout and has agreed to play the Rams in an upcoming game that will account for the $2.5 million balance.
  6. None. Zero. Especially not with that show-cause that isn't up for two more years.
  7. Not that I watch any games, but was there ANY doubt that the 76ers were going to win their first game of the season against the Timberwolves last night?
  8. Agreed. Still think there's more to the story about why Bielema left Wisconsin. Perhaps St Alvarez and his massive ego got in Bret's way?
  9. Looks like the buyout issue has been solved - Jim McElwain will be announced as the new head coach of Florida later today.
  10. I'm not sure if college hockey is parody land or not...possibly at Wisconsin right now, sure, but there definitely is parity in the rest of the sport.
  11. Well, we can't all be fans of the Boston Goo-ins now, can we? до свидания!
  12. http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/12/bret_bielema_reportedly_target.html Well, I guess Bielema is saying otherwise...
  13. Haven't seen this posted anywhere but thought it was worth mentioning...former Sioux football head coach Marvin Helling passed away Sunday in Florida. He coached the team from 1957 to 1967. Godspeed, Coach Helling.
  14. That's a hefty buyout, even for a school like Florida.
  15. Bret Bielema rumored to be in serious talks with Nebraska...
  16. His political viewpoints are about as relevant to baseball as what kind of car Torii drives or whether or not he has granite countertops in his house.
  17. I'm sorry, maybe I'm missing something here, but what part of Mike Bernardino's question was relevant to the Twins and their 2015 season?
  18. Да, я это сделать!
  19. Speaking of running...shouldn't you be fetching the tool pusher some coffee?
  20. And now Jean Beliveau...one of the all-time greats.
  21. It's gotten to the point that I chuckle about it...besides, another great opportunity to use one of my favorite gifs of all-time...
  22. COULDN'T CARE LESS! The expression is COULDN'T CARE LESS! if you COULD CARE less, it means that you actually care, even if it's only a little.
  23. Sigh...I'm speechless.
  24. Roger that. I know there were other teams looking at Hunter but the Twins appear to have out-bid only themselves for his services.
