  1. Aaawwww...that's cute. The %gobc let gfhockey get on the board tonight.
  2. So America's Top 200 still doesn't get me the one damn thing I want to watch on TV tonight...effing perfect.
  3. I'm not finding it either...but I do hve UNO/St Cloud game...
  4. Brian Lee officially retires from hockey...gonna go back to school at good old NDSU...
  5. According to everything I've read on the subject, Baylor got in over TCU. Houston, SMU, and Rice had pretty much zero shot.
  6. I don't think there's anything wrong with the Bruins' uniform...or the Penguins, for that matter, when they wear the classic gold and not the stupid Vegas gold, anyways.
  7. Did any of those schools use Native American imagery with those logos? Did any of those schools change their name from something Indian-related to Bison or Buffaloes? Did any of those schools thumb their nose at the NCAA while fighting to keep their nickname? Did any of those schools rile up the NCAA like North Dakota did?
  8. I suppose it's only a problem if the men running with Ralphie are wearing Native American costumes...
  9. A compass? Or Native American symbol of friendship?
  10. I don't think you can either...but, tell me, do you think SOMEONE in Indianapolis might?
  11. And your proposed UND nickname isn't the "Compasses," either.
  12. I'm not saying it's a poor design or poor drawing, in fact, I think it's quite creative. However, what I am saying is that given UND's past connection with "Fighting Sioux," some members of the NCAA may view the nickname "Arrows" a bit differently than what I would consider normal people would.
  13. William & Mary "compromised" with respect to the NCAA about as much as the Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia "invited" the Red Army to annex their countries and make them part of the USSR. http://hamptonroads.com/2007/12/william-and-mary-replaces-logo-remove-feathers
  14. I see two feathers. The NCAA sees "Indian imagery."
  15. Then your assumption that the NCAA would have no reason to consider the arrow "hostile" imagery is based on what, exactly? Because I can tell you exactly why it's quite feasable based on W&M's history.
  16. I might suggest educating yourself on William & Mary's history of unofficial nicknames and mascots...
  17. http://web.wm.edu/so/progressive/articles/article.php?title=A+Statement+Against+TRIBE&author=Sean+Barker&file=SeanB-Tribe And, believe me, there will STILL be people like Sean Barker around UND should the school consider an arrow logo and nickname...
  18. Sure, it's safe to assume that the NCAA will never link an arrow with the previous school nickname of "Fighting Sioux," will they?
  19. Neither are feathers, which seem to be unique to birds.
  20. If William & Mary got into trouble over a feather, there's no way an arrow "flies" under the NCAA radar...
  21. Bummer that that's all the %gobc will allow you to post these days...
