Mississippi State, Baylor, Michigan State, and TCU were the other four popular names mentioned in an 8-team playoff. I'm assuming TCU would have treated MSU the same way they did Ole Miss so our four semi-finalists would now be Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan State, and TCU. All that work to try and get two SEC teams into the final four and what we would have wound up with was two BIG TEN teams in the final four. LOL!

Did you watch any of the GLI? Michigan Tech is solid. If you want to complain about teams making the tournament, I'd start with Atlantic Hockey and (most likely) Robert Morris.

These bowl games are big business in cities like Los Angeles, Orlando, New Orleans, and Atlanta. No way they totally dump all those years of bowl tradition in favor of the "Dr Pepper Quarterfinal Games."

The Rose Bowl ended the same way...confetti...giant podium...trophy..."student-athletes" making fools of themselves...

FSU not alone in the "classless" department apparently...Ducks players were caught on camera during the trophy presentation mocking FSU's tomahawk war-chant by singing "no means no," an obvious reference to Jameis' rape allegations.

Are you at all familiar with TV ratings in Canada during events like the Olympics and the Stanley Cup Finals? Put a Canadian team in this kind of event and it'll turn into gold up there. LOL! The Pistons and their walk-off against the Bulls in 1991 is oft-criticized...but Larry Bird and Robert Parish of the Celtics aren't raked over the coals at all for doing the same exact thing against the Pistons after being eliminated in 1988. Kevin McHale walked off as well but did shake hands with Thomas and Laimbeer before leaving the court. At least some Seminoles stuck around for handshakes and to congratulate Oregon. Pretty immature of those FSU players who didn't though since this game had not been in doubt for quite some time.

Yup, no way FSU would have been left out in the cold under the poll system.
