Not this year you wouldn't. I've seen enough of Minnesota this season and that team is fine crystal fragile. A 6-1 or 7-2 beatdown in Fargo would result in a lot of Goldy fans finding a new use for those .6 t-shirts - and that would be to dry their 2014-2015 NCAA-championship-or-bust-expectations tears with.

Miami has only played D1 hockey since 1978. 4 CCHA championships, 1 CCHA playoff championship, 2 Frozen Fours, 1 NCAA 2nd place finish, and 12 All-Americans. Tradition has to start somewhere - not every school has been playing as long as Michigan, North Dakota, or Minnesota. Some notable alumni too - Dan Boyle, Andy Greene, Reilly Smith, Brian Savage, and this guy...you may remember him from last summer:

Bummer of a way to end the season. Bemidji knocks off the giant and you're playing the conference semi-final game in your own rink against Wisconsin. Couldn't ask for much more than that. Nice rally to finish out the season - unfortunately, the NCAA tournament just isn't in the cards this year.

That's one team I'd prefer to stay away from come tournament time. Hildebrand is a goalie more than capable of stealing a game.

One Penn State win and an MSU/MI split next weekend results in this: #3 MN vs #6 WI winner gets #1 MSU #4 PSU vs #5 OSU winner gets #2 Michigan So, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and (likely) Michigan - no way.

I'd have to check on price changes but if memory serves me right, they were around $14-$15 for a hat and another $7.50 with a name/moniker on back. Prices go down the more hats are ordered though.

B10 conference standings won't stay this way long as MI and MSU play each other next weekend. A split there and a MN/PSU split sure would make things interesting though.

I can't remember where I was a number of years ago when the MacNaughton Cup was clinched by the Sioux, but they did not give the team the cup that night. It was instead presented to the Sioux at the next home game. VERY disappointing as a fan to make the road trip specifically because a win meant the cup, only to find out later that it wasn't even there.
