TD Garden, my bad. I'm so old-school, I only really remember the old Boston Garden. You know, the place inhabited by sports legends like Rick Bourque, Ken Neely, Lenny Bird, Vernon "Cornflakes" Mixwell, and Ron Auerbach.
Providence College is 60 minutes away from TD Garden. If the Friars win today, they'll have a few fans ready to make the trip. It'll be their first Frozen Four in 30 years.
I wish I had a gif image of the Miami player who dove to prevent the Providence ENG attempt. Talk about giving 110%. One of the most outstanding "never quit" plays I have ever seen.
Congratulations to the Miami Redhawks on an outstanding season. I was sooo pulling for your team to tie that up, win it in OT, and exorcise the demons of that NCAA title game loss to BU a few years back.
Official: Dr Emmert, it's the NE Regional. BC has already lost in the east. BU is on the ropes here. What's your order, sir?
Emmert: You know what to do. Implement Operation T-P-P.
Official: Operation Toilet Paper Patrol?
Emmert: No, you dolt! Operation Terrier Power Play!
Official: Oh yea. Duh! Right away, sir!
You might have a few of them on "ignore" already so perhaps you're filtering some of the noise out?
Even gfhockey went from "if hak cant get it done, next man up" to "im a hak supporter" in one weekend.
Denver vs Providence College and RIT vs Nebraska Omaha later today...
RIT, PC, and UNO all trying to build some tradition - would love to see new blood in the Frozen Four. Go Friars!
Fixed your post. I'm sure yzerman19, SIOUXFAN97, and some others will be along shortly to give this team and the coaching staff some credit for putting last weekend behind them. Won't they?
Great effort by this team against a tough Quinnipiac squad and an always-ready-to-play St Cloud State team. Ya gotta believe - SIOUX FOREVER!
