They made fun of travel for us being in the Big Sky can you imagine the travel in the Sun Belt? Fargo to Jonesboro, AR is 986 miles. Not an ideal travel partner.

I think the budget crunch puts FBS on the back burner.

You are right. Richmond in his first year lost to Gonzaga by 10 in the dance. Not bad for a first year coach. Not to mention winning 23 games. Jones in his first year went 11-17 overall, 3-10 in the conference and tied for 5th place in the NCC. Both resumes are almost equal.

Richmond is known for his team beating Oklahoma in the dance. Jones is known for his team beating nobody in the CIT.

Both what Florida did and UConn is a great accomplishment. Too bad realistically we won't be winning a national title in basketball and probably not in volleyball either.

2016-17 has been a great school year for UND athletics!!! We made a name for ourselves among conference opponents. That is a huge step since we have only been members for 5 years, against opponents who have been in the Big Sky since the beginning.

We saw what happened when Muss got his extension and Faison had enough and bought him out. He doesn't want a repeat. Also you say recruits don't like one year contracts but yet thats what they have in South Dakota and how many dance trips did SDSU have?

I wonder if its tougher in a p5 conference than a smaller conference. No way Kansas would win in football, Nebraska won't win in basketball, plus factor in the women's side, its tough.

400k?? Weber may pay their coach close to that because to Weber basketball is their #1 sport. Men's basketball is roughly in the 3 to 4 spot battling with women's basketball. Jones has 19 wins this season the most since the 2010-11 season, 14 conference wins the most ever, so this is the greatest season (SINGULAR) ever in his 11th seasons at UND. He loses one of the greatest players ever to be at UND, will the team keep up the same hype next season? I think for winning the regular season give him a one year extension. Make it to the dance and extend his contract to include his first season into the Summit League. I would think UND, if given an extension, would give him a raise for winning the conference. No way its 400k, or else give Bubba a salary like Nick Saban for the job he did turning the football program around.

NDSU women's basketball hasn't won a regular season title since 1997, and hasn't reached the NCAA tournament since 2004 (lost to UND in the DII regional). DI hasn't been kind to them.

UND is the first BSC team to win a championship in four major sports in the same year. Great accomplishment!!!

We still have one more year in the Big Sky. We move to the Summit the fall of 2018.

If only they didn't move the tournament to a neutral location UND would be hosting it. Oh well, win in Reno.
