When I left GF in 1999, 32nd Ave S was where everything was. The only thing south of it was Uland Park. Now you are talking about 15 blocks south of that in under 20 years. GF is growing and I think it’s growing at a nice pace.

They could move the women’s team to a local park for the games to make it look like a full environment.

Growth is fine but you don’t want quick growth like what Fargo is experiencing. The leaders here aren’t thinking long term so they are ripping up the same stretch of road many times as the city grows (ex. 13th Ave S.). I am sure GF is growing at a reasonable pace. It sure grows each time I drive up there. Look at the city 10 years ago and I’m sure you would be surprised.

Fargo’s answer to congestion was 3 lanes, now we say, “great, now we have 3 lanes of slow-assed drivers”.

He was a nice guy outside of work, and his wife was my health teacher at Central. Really nice people. I have no idea about his AD skills were as I was just a kid, but I know he was a good hockey coach.

Do you think being from EWU and turning that school around will help us. I hope it does.

Had no idea he was like that outside of his office and not on the field taking pictures. My favorite AD's of all time were Roger Thomas and Gino. They are really nice outside of the office work, and in touch with people. Had no idea that Faison could snub people like you describe.

Only 2 losses in the last 2 seasons when scoring over 80. Make it a habit of reaching that bar.

So after looking at your responses in this thread, and your hatred for Faison, what should have been done differently? Budgets too low, how would you have gained more money for them when 2 governors are cutting your schools budget? Mussman didn't give the football team confidence as he sucked as a coach. He did nothing for this school and Faison's only fault in that was giving him an extension after the GWFC Championship in 2011. Easy fix to make salaries go up...cut Brad Berry's salary and pass that money around. But that would be political suicide from the hockey fans so instead he had to find money elsewhere while balancing a cut budget, cut sports was given an option as cutting education is not the way to go (even though some of it did get the axe). So he trimmed the fat by getting rid of women's hockey (which is still be talked about by the GFH and NYT), swimming, baseball and golf (funded if they can come up with the money). He had a lot on his plate and with the end of transition on the horizon and finding a conference with the nickname issue wasn't going to be as easy as USD had it. So I see your hatred, but what specifically could he have done to gain your respect?

Still can’t come up with reasons why Faison was so bad and what he could have done differently. You have to result to name calling.

Worst? Dealing with a nickname, conference, and money issues wasn't a picnic and anyone put in that position would be raked over the coals unless they would have kept the Sioux name, stayed in the Big Sky, and cut education in favor of keeping women's hockey, swimming and baseball. I think for Faison's full plate he did an admirable job.

Hopefully they can hit the free throws and force turnovers. Don't let the crowd into the game.

Faison had the longest tenure since Wanless (9 1/2 years).

Hopefully a repeat of last season's result in Fargo.
