I never understood why NDSU fans don't like Canadians.....they have Canadians on their sports teams.

We need to run the ball or else we are the 1984 Miami Dolphins (all pass, no run). You shut down the pass....you are screwed.

I know NDSU fans loved that whole Danny Kristo, UND nickname issues. There are thousands of threads all over BVille on it. So when we bring up problems that are major (petition fraud IS major) NDSU fans close their eyes and ears and gets drunk on the green and yellow kool-aid.

I think defense has been our problem against FBS teams as much as QB. Remember the leads we had against Idaho (we were blowing them out just before the half) and then 9 minutes left in the FSU game we had the lead both games were winnable and the defense let us down especially in the Idaho game. So if we have a lead halfway or late against SDSU the defense better be ready to stop them (unlike the problems that started occuring against Portland State).

Coach Long is a smart man, you don't want to throw fuel on the fire. If he were to come out and laugh about playing UND like many Aztec fans are chances are that will motivate our players even more and he doesn't want a repeat of what Cal Poly did to SDSU 2 years ago. You take every game seriously or else you are setting yourself up for failure.

Either they are going to drop down or drop football alltogether, because Indy football will bankrupt their athletic program. There is pride and there is reality (us UND fans know all to well about that).

So $$$ from tv basically pays for their home in the Independent league....what will pay for Idaho to go the Indy route? That's what I don't get, is that Idaho can't afford to not be in a conference so their best choice was to drop down to the BSC.

I think more people have problems with Bohl (no suspensions before RMU) and Taylor's "no suspensions, no big deal" comments, that Bison fans are fearing because I think eventually suspensions are coming and the big games are coming up after Prairie View. Losing to CSU or a close game to PV(I still can't see SU losing to PV even with suspended players) is no big deal but you start dropping conference games and that playoff picture gets more and more foggy.

Why is it that ND never joined a football conference? Do they feel special to be an Independent?

I agree, and every game played from here on out where these players are NOT suspended will only make the people of ND more upset with NDSU athletics (Bohl and Taylor) and the press won't let these two jokers forget it.

2005 was the last time a team won the BSC with more than 1 loss (Montana, MSU and EW finished 5-2). Since 2005 its been 0 or 1 loss, so it will take a lot to win the conference. If UND can post upsets at MSU, and EW on the road UND could be golden at the BSC title. But that is saying an awful lot. I really hope that Mines game is not the factor that keeps UND watching the playoffs on tv.

You know what I should have consulted with the feeling of the BV nation when I made this thread. I apoligize to the people of Bisonville.

I asked the cashier when I did the REA tour and she said around December. As for the new vendor it will be hard to replace items with the name and logo on it, but people will buy it, I actually own 1 shirt without the name and logo on it (I found it at Target last spring). I have no problem with it because it still says University of North Dakota.

Which is something I noticed...Alerus Center no Sioux logo on merchandise, REA-Sioux logo on merchandise.

So who wants to tailgate outside the Cass County Courthouse on Oct 2nd to see what happens to the NDSU players because I think a judge will overrule Gene Taylor unlike what happens at NDSU where GT calls the shots not the President.

UND was told by the NCAA at the NCAA hockey tournament that not even band members could wear the Sioux logo, and now EMU is doing this? I think the NCAA better tell EMU that if you want to wear this you better get official permission from the tribe or else on the list they go. (not like it will affect EMU football any)

I think UND would almost need to win the conference than rely on the 7 or 8 magic number.
