Just like UNI last year when Massey or Sagarin (I forget which ones) had them extremely high because of their SOS (ONLY) since their only win up to midseason was a DII team. Rankings and polls don't matter its what you do in the playoffs.

For those like me who doesn't have Midcontinent the UM at UND game will be on Fox College Sports Pacific (channel 308 for Cable One in Fargo).

We beat a ranked Cal Poly team in 2009 I believe they were #16.

How about these facts from 2011... Overall record 8-3 but 3 of those wins were non DI teams, 1 more win vs PFL Drake (16-0) So 4 wins vs teams with scholarships Southern Utah, UNC, UC Davis and South Dakota. Not a great bunch of teams to compare to this year or last years schedule.

That is the key...THIS schedule, 7 home games, crappy teams (minus NAU) on the road. No way should UND not win 7 games. When is UND going to have a schedule like this....at least never through 2018.

UND cheerleaders used to do a cheer "Green and White fight, fight, fight"...back at Memorial Stadium. I doubt that will be our permanent nickname. Just as Central didn't stay Maroon and Grey for very long (2 years).

Exactly. Muss's biggest accomplishment is being co-champs of the GWFC. Nothing too much to brag about there. Can UND afford to go another 5-6 or 6-5...or worse?

You must be in love with Muss's coaching or something. I predict UND will lose to Montana, crowd won't be as big (maybe more Montana fans than SDSU fans), but we don't have Braden Hanson to throw for 600 yards, and our running is crap, on defense...see 2012. We also have Montana State and EWU. If UND can't improve on defense which this game proves the same problems we had last year they can't UND will be 2 (I predict a win over ISU) and 4.

They are proved winnable if we would have beaten SDSU...beating Valpo proves we can be tops in the PFL.

The ONLY statement I agree with if we have less than 7 wins and don't make the playoffs. The other crap you said doesn't make sense, and it wasn't long ago that team from the south was 3-8 and a bottom feeder of the MVFC. All it takes is decent coaches (Roger Thomas found that out with Lennon and Bubba) and a great recruiting class (which RT put together to get UND a NC in 2001). UND hasn't won a hockey title since 2000 so its not like we were at the Gino level of the 80's (3 titles in that decade alone). And according to the alltime series dating back to 1894 we can compete with the team to the south, you think NDSU is going to be almost perfect every season and win NC every year?? Sorry it doesn't work that way.

But those poor calls helped with SDSU's momentum and field position, and sucked the crowd out. I didn't say it was "the" reason we lost I said it was part, along with what you said about the miss tackles, drop passes, and turnovers.

Anyone know what conference these refs were from? They played a part in UND losing.

SDSU messed up by allowing UND to get back into the game by not letting Zenner to run on our !@#$ defense and run the clock out, instead they threw the ball and stopped the clock. Poor coaching in the 4th on SDSU not great coaching by UND. If UND doesn't get 7 wins...shitcan the whole coaching staff.

NBC showed Deleware State's upcoming schedule...at North Dakota St, but used UND logo.

If Dale Lennon and Bubba were available to come back I would boot Muss immediately. Also if Muss was fired do NOT hire within.
