I think the Betty would be electric if they were to host the BSC tourny.....I was at the Hyslop for the 1997 NCAA title game and that place was deafening. I think the Betty would be the same!

That has been missing for the last few years. They don't need to sack the QB but get in his face, make him scramble, bat passes back at him. When you don't have a pass rush and the QB has 5-8 seconds to sit back, scan the field, and hit a receiver, then your secondary is going to suffer.

So trying to swing back the pissing contest to the point of the thread.... San Jose State. In 2012 we did a track meet with San Diego State, 2011 Fresno St had to come back to beat UND, 2010 UND lost by 6 to NIU, is this the year UND gets its first FBS win and make SDSU as the only Dakota team not to defeat one? San Jose St lost its starting QB, (back up is very untested thowing only 6 passes including a pick), Starting RB is now a Soph, had 788 yds last season, they lost their starting WR to graduation (79 rec for 1356 yds 15 td). 15th in yards per game out of 123 FBS teams (not including reclassifying teams), 103rd in yds per game on defense. UND was 66th in the FCS in offense and 90th in defense (by total yds). I think this game could make or break our season, if we win I see major improvements and a good season ahead, if we get blown out, we have a long way to go, and if we lose like the last 3 FBS games we played (average loss by a TD), then its still a wait and see approach.

UND women who went 6-14 in conference play and 11-18 overall last year is turning things around!! Already 4-0 in the BSC and 9-4 overall. Great job ladies!!!

UND lost to 8 DI teams (5 of them ranked) ferris lost to 2 DII teams I think there is a difference. So if you are not good in your division you are bound to get beat by a DII team...good think Ferris didn't play you guys in 2009 right.

That sounds interesting...or how about a BSC division in the Mountain West, that would be awesome.

And what makes you think UND couldn't beat FSU? And being a bison fan isn't reason enough.

The article in the Forum says Bohl and Taylor has a deal where if Bohl leaves he can't take any verbal players away from NDSU for ONE year (which is now the 2014 season). Taylor mentions ethics (IMO he has none ex. player arrests) and how he trusts Bohl. NDSU president wanted 2 years but Taylor said one was enough. With no penalty in the agreement I would think any player is fair game until the dotted line is signed. Offseason will be interesting.

I know you guys played FSU because MSU pussed out it happens, but when UND played Sioux Falls, Black Hills St SDSoM, etc you guys thought no big deal those schools are like HS teams, now because of MSU you are forced to play Ferris and you guys pumped them up so much on BV you made them sound like a DI team. UND didn't have a great team but i am sure they can handle a DII team even though your basis is 3 whole games. I mean 3 games? Which 3 did you see...the 3 UND got blown out, the 3 UND won or a mixture?

What I love is Bison fans made fun of all the non DI teams UND played during transition and in 2012, but then they play one and pump them out to be the best team since Bama to play. You guys sure give us a good laugh. So if you guys are stuck playing St Cloud this year you are going to say they can take us down too? Again too funny!!

I agree with Bartels, I think he will be our starter next year unless Mollberg really shines in spring ball.

I love that too. Just because NDSU won a NC and is on the minds of most people here....just keep trying, they can't commit every kid in the state. UND took over the recruiting battle between the two in the mid to late 90's through most of the 2000's, and they can do that again.

That's right it won't be overnight, and NDSU will win the recruiting battles until they show signs of weakening and we show signs of strength. It took RT 8 years to conquer the Bison on the field, in the conference and on the recruiting trail. But since we aren't playing them (until the playoffs happen), and we play in a difference conference, we could conquer the state in a shorter period of time if we start winning BSC titles, and playoff games but in turn the Bison need to have some 6-5 years and miss the playoffs for it to happen. One season at a time. An FBS win, a .500 season and or a playoff berth, would be great the first season of Bubba ball...just show some kind of improvement.
