You have high expectations on this team?? This is a rebuilding team with a new coaching staff. Muss had this team in a deep hole and it's Bubba's job to get us out of the hole and back on solid ground, Bubba is not a miracle worker and it's not going to be done overnight. Muss had us expecting positive things last year which upped the expectations only to have them crushed every Saturday. If UND gets blown out (ex. Idaho) you try to fix what is broken, but if you win it's against the FBS, and you gain confidence not only in the players but in fans and that will show with attendance. Playing Valpo last year didn't prove anything, playing Drake before that didn't prove anything. Play the FBS and see where you stand against the top level of football.

Its a joke to have that rule when a team like Eastern Michigan who averages only around 4,000 a game breaks that rule every year and they are still FBS.

Can someone tell me the point of the 15,000 attendance requirement? If its to keep smaller schools with very little attendance from being in the "FBS", then why isn't there an attendance requirement for DI basketball. Attendance in basketball is a lot worse than football with schools averaging 300 or so fans...and their DI? If its about money, is the NCAA making money on FBS teams not making the 15k (Mac, Sun Belt), along with schools with 300 fans watching their .500 team make the dance. San Diego State, Fresno State, Northern Illinois...UND has come close, its time to get one in the W against the FBS.

They have a big turnover on offense, new line, new QB, and top receiver gone too. Maybe UND can catch them off guard.

They are going to let the 2 closest schools to the UND campus vote for a name (just like the NCAA let the 2 closest Sioux tribes vote for the fate of the name) so we wait for a vote from the Lake Agassiz and West Elementry crowd. As an alumn of West I should get a vote.

I am lost when it comes to the FBS and MVC...if the BSC can move up why not the MVFC? Or are we still talking about the BSC being part of the Sun Belt just in a western division.

What makes you think any team will draw more fans if they go FBS? NDSU proved they can sellout the dome until they tank a season then people stay home (2009, most of 2010). Eastern Michigan, Idaho, UAB, didn't draw dick last year and they are FBS. Winning puts butts in the seats not divisions. Plus Fullerton never said the "entire" conference was moving up, but most of them. I don't see ISU, UNC, WSU moving up at all. I think it all depends on budgets and FBS studies, which is why most Bison fans think NDSU moving up isn't likely to happen until they have the $$$. If the p5 split, and the rest of the FBS merge with the upper FCS conferences then we have a new ball game.
