Fargo actually put bike lanes on a regular 2 lane street with parking on the side. So if there is a parked car, the bike rider has a choice, hit the parked car or dart out in traffic. Sometimes these planners don't have a clue.

This^^^^^^ . Also what was the reason for Lennon leaving??

Its amazing how UND went from being a DII team in 2006 and 2007 beating FCS teams (even destroying Southern Utah), to losing to DII Sioux Falls, and having two 3 win seasons in 4 years. Nice hole Muss, now to climb out and get some respect back.

I like the attitude of coach Pryor of the volleyball team, he is putting a team to not get into the NCAA Tournament, but WIN in the NCAA tournament. When you have a coach with that much confidence it will rub off. Bubba can do that, Muss couldn't do it.
-
I this is more realistic than Williston since Bismarck isn't too far away.
-
NEXT THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!
-
I think the whole attitude is different with Bubba than with Muss. I think Bubba will have everyone's head in the game and not goofing off on the sidelines.

From 2010-2013 http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/38/3825700.html Fargo up 7.7% Bismarck up 9.4% Grand Forks up 3.9% West Fargo up 15.7% Williston up 41% Dickinson 16.6% Mandan 7.9% Minot 13.1% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watford_City,_North_Dakota Watford City up 88.3% North Dakota up 7.6% Population will only get bigger when there is housing available. So its hard to believe Williston will outdraw Fargo, unless they make houses and apartments up the #$$.
-
Don't forget all the former residents of western ND who wanted a quiet life not the hustle and bustle of trucks moving out of the oil patch and rent around 2000 bucks a month, moving to the east. No way Williston passes Fargo. If anything I see Fargo surpassing the Dakota leader, Sioux Falls.

I agree. But it can also be a fake too. They will run the first play then boom its an all out air attack. I wouldn't put anything past them. Of course they think it will be a blowout, look at our record last year, thats all they know (or care) about. Line is SJSU by 23, Last 2 FBS games (both in California) margin of victory is 6 1/2 points. I don't think this will be a blowout especially if our defense has greatly improved since last year. Loss to SDSU by 8 and FSU by 5 with a Muss led team. Let's just say I cannot wait for next Thursday.

That 1 million exit fee could deter schools from joining as well as leaving.
-
Does anyone know how much the exit fee of the BSC is? Not that I would want UND to leave just curious.
-
Even Crookston built a truck bypass, there is no reason GF can't. Just wait until GF throws out some bike lanes on the busy streets like they did Fargo. Then people will cry about kids getting hit by cars.
-
That's nuts. That's about 10 miles with no crossing.
-
There is no bridge between the Point and Thompson is there?
-
Could you imagine driving down DeMers towards EGF and seeing 40-50 story buildings. I still look up in Ahh when I see that in downtown Mpls.
-
Maybe more since Fargo doesn't have the flood protection that GF does.
-
Has GF ever thought about high rise buildings? I know Fargo thought about it for their downtown but some said the soil couldn't take it. Could you imagine downtown looking like a mini Minneapolis.
-
Fargo could grow north and west if they wanted to. North of the airport to Harwood, and east to the river swallowing up North River, also west from 45th st then north to Reiles Acres. Just like GF could go north to Manvel and west to the Airport or Air Base, but both cities are focusing on moving south. Soon GF will be touching Thompson and Fargo will be touching Wahpeton (ok not that far south)

I just checked the seats remaining on ticketmaster, and lots of seats remain in the 2 sections from the Endzone to the 10 yard line on both sides of the field, but a lot of seats gone from the other sections. I am predicting about 8-9k. If UND upsets San Jose State, I predict that number to skyrocket.

The new name was to be within one year of retirement (original settlement) but the state law and Al Carlson's interference messed up the timeline. Retirement November 30, 2010. New nickname 2011. I think the NCAA gave UND a break with the cooling off period but come Jan 1st I think the UND administration will kick start the naming process and if nothing is done, the NCAA will most likely interject. No NCAA school ( that at least plays sports) doesn't have a nickname. Nicknames = $$$$ in the eyes of the NCAA.
-
The NCAA can do anything they want, they got UND to get rid of a name that's been here for 80 years. Their club their rules.
