Win both games, then schedule someone else, especially if JJ and NDSU wants another game in Fargo. Do a H/H with them but the first game is in GF with a 300k buyout take it or leave it. If they leave it oh well.

I disagree. Win next year, and win in 2019. Why should we be labeled with Idaho State, Central Arkansas, and Montana State. Buying out games could hurt UND as other schools would hesitate scheduling us.

Well said. The game is being played and Bison fans are more pissed than happy the game is played because they can't come up with excuses that UND is not at their level IF UND WINS. They can't tell UND to "get the ball rolling", apologize for 2004, and we aren't scared if you just sign the contract. After 2019 we are on even slate with them. We got the ball rolling, we played twice in Fargo, everything from 2004 is wiped out. No one on either side is there that was there in 2004. Let's shake hands and kickoff!!!

NDSU has a big scoreboard outside the president's house that says sports won 2014-15 school year.....NDSU 1 UND 0. Next Super Bowl for NDSU comes on Tuesday Sept 9th in Fargo for volleyball.

Big deal, neither school will buyout the games. Not only will it cost money, but its political suicide. NDSU was pissed that Montana State backed out and blackballed them, does NDSU want to be in that circle of joy? UND won't buy it out because in 2015 that was our 11th and final game, why take the risk of either finding another FCS team, finding a DII (or other division team) or playing a 10 game schedule. UND has never backed out of a game, but has been backed out on twice. We know what its like, and it sucks. So calm down about how much it is, and if NDSU would buyout the game. They are playing at home, it would be stupid to buyout your own home game. I think people are reading way too much into this.

Saying we don't want to play UND because at the level we are at but yet they will play WSU without thinking of "their" level is what is what twirks me.

So it's okay to schedule a powerhouse like Weber but not UND? How many conference titles has WSU won since we joined DI?

You forgot two.... 2013: UND 3-8 Weber State 2-10; 2012: UND 5-6 Weber St 2-9

So we have UND fans pissed that there is no return game in Grand Forks. We have NDSU fans pissed that they are playing a lower level team (even though they are playing Weber State). If UND goes to Fargo next year and wins, NDSU fans will be very pissed, because they know UND is catching up to them in football and that has to be a big fear in them because of recruiting. As of now NDSU can out-recruit UND easily by flashing that NC ring at them. But if NDSU falls this year, add UND beating them next year and recruits won't automatically choose NDSU. (UND has out recruited them in the past and just needs something to kickstart that again) If Bison fans think they can stay at the top forever...just look at App State and Montana, even the biggest teams fall. Coaching is a big part of winning, UND hasn't had that since 2007, and NDSU had a bad coach in Babich in their recent history. Both coaches are 0-0 in DI head coaching, NDSU currently has better players than UND, but, UND is getting a lot of recruits that Bubba wants. So if fans (mostly NDSU) think this game will be an 80-0, sure if it was 2013...2015 may tell a whole new story.

Why? He filled our schedule in '15 and has filled 1 out of 4 empty slots in '19. What's the difference if we play at NDSU or SIU? We never had a return game with them. UND is playing a high profile team for big bucks (yes it is after you look at what a tank of gas costs) and Bubba approved. So since Bubba is for it should he go too?

Sorry missed all the fun (here in SD on vacation with the fam) anyways I look at it this way. 2015 UND got an OOC away game, schedule complete. 2014, 2015, and 2016 is complete. 2019 at NDSU is an OOC road game in a 12 game season so UND can still have 6 home games and an FBS game if they want. So after this UND has a clean slate with NDSU as the two games to get the ball rolling will be complete and maybe after 2019 they can get a H/H in 2020 or beyond. UND still should schedule the other Dakota teams and UNI. UND is 4-1 in the Fargodome so why not go for 6-1, and prove to everyone including the ND media we are on the same level as NDSU. It happened in volleyball, basketball and now it can happen in football.

2019 is a 12 game season. NDSU can still have 6 home games, an FBS game and still go to Grand Forks. That season would be like what is going on this season with the h/h with Weber St.

However NDSU lost a lot of starters and coaching staff. Its not Bohl and Jensen walking into Ames, its a QB with zero starts and a head coach with zero DI wins. 26 maybe a bit high, but no way this will be the same team that walked out of Manhattan with a win.

The animal research farms actually make Simplot and Crystal Sugar smell like roses. It is horrid and I drive by there every night on my way to work cause it's next to the interstate. Pewwww!!!!!
