More oil independence by countries in North America can only be a good thing for us. No worries about wars breaking out in Canada or the US, unlike the Middle East. I hope one day the tides will turn and countries like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran would be wanting our oil instead of the other way around.

If NDSU went FBS wouldn't they have to add more sports especially on the women's side? A lot of $$$ would need to be raised, and the Fargodome would end up being the Kibbie Dome 2.0 down the road. I don't see Fargo spending money on a new dome when there is still flood talks going on every year. Look how long it took the Bisons to raise money for the SHAC, and that price tag is not close enough to the millions needed in scholarships at the FBS level. Like Kirk Herbstreit said on gameday, why would NDSU leave the playoffs and a NC, to play in the Motor City Bowl if they joined a conference like the MAC. NDSU would be Idaho 2.0 with geography as their enemy if they joined the Sun Belt. It would be interesting if UND could raise enough $$$ to go the FBS route when that time comes. Not only would $$$ be an obstacle, but our dome would be another. The lease is up in 2019 so maybe a remodel of Memorial Stadium to say 25k would be a green light to the FBS? But that talk is still a long time out.

Agree. If the students want to leave at halftime or not show up have their "seating" be standing behind the endzones, and let the public sit in their section.

I do and it is better since you have people that know the entire FCS not just a few teams.

Offensively we know NDSU is a lot better but defense its getting closer, Pass defense: NDSU 7th 148.4; UND 54th 205.0 Rush defense: NDSU 15th 108.8; UND 24th 125.3 (2 ND teams in the top 25 of the FCS!!) Scoring defense: NDSU 2nd 8.2; UND 50th 23.8 For those that think this will be a blowout, an 80-0 game, I think this is a sign it could be a nailbiter (think 1991,92,93, or even 2003)
