  1. Couldn’t agree more. You could feel it coming in my opinion. Entz’ coaching style and demeanor is much more emotional than his predecessors. I am a firm believer that players will take on the personality of their head coach and he doesn’t have the same aura of unflappability that Klieman and Bohl did. NDSU is still very good and could potentially make a run. But these boys aren’t the absolute killers that the players who came before them were. Those guys were hungry, these guys…not as much from what I can see.
  2. Appreciate his honestly. Never a good look to have former players bickering publicly like that, but it’s the world we live in I suppose.
  3. I believe in and support the credo Once a Bison Always a Bison, because of that, I wish the kid the best and hope he finds what he is looking for. That being said, I don't find this to be a loss for the team necessarily. Branding yourself is a part of today's game, I get it, but at some point the personal hype train needs to be backed up by play on the field and I simply haven't seen it with him.
  4. All of your above points are well made and I agree. On the away game playoff record for ndsu, I think it’s also important to discuss the reason a team gets home field playoff games. Is it that ndsu is markedly better at home? Maybe. But if they are playing on the road in the playoffs, that year’s team is necessarily, in relative comparison, not as good as a team that is playing at home.
  5. Glad you’re able to recognize my speed. As a UND football fan I know it’s not something you see regularly.
  6. Is this a UND football thread or is it a non UND football thread? Maybe my eyes are failing me. The internet is the internet, it doesn’t take any additional effort to type in one webpage vs another.
  7. I think the poster may have been referencing attention on a national level when comparing NCAA Basketball vs FCS football/NCAA Hockey. On that point specifically, the original poster may have actually understated the differences. NDSU’s current run is an outlier. Under normal circumstances, just making the NCAA basketball tournament is much more publicity nationally than an FCS championship or a hockey national championship.
  8. I suppose that’s one way to interpret my post.
  9. I’ll agree with you to a point here. To win a national championship, you have to be “good”, whatever that word would mean. But winning alone doesn’t make you a great QB. Lots of variables in football, Cam has had an amazing team around him and a lot of QB’s would have likely won a natty with that talent around them. That said, cam actually did win a natty and in my book that has to count for something.
  10. Odd argument. A national championship is the ultimate goal at this level and the reason every team puts on their pads every Saturday. Downplaying it because other people have done it? A hell of a lot more people haven’t than have.
  11. Should we look up how Nebraska has done since your game with them? Keep an eye on your own bobber bud.
  12. Possibly either of those. But to throw an alternative, is it possible something scheme wise is confusing for opponents earlier in the game and then they’re able to find some plays that work over the course of the game? It seems defensively UND is so aggressive that I think it can surprise teams, maybe as the game goes on the offensive staff is able to exploit it? Not sure. It is interesting to see that pattern that has emerged for UND in FBS games though.
  13. This isn’t the first time you’ve attempted to make this point. I’m genuinely curious, why do you think this is true? Which athletic program at NDSU is struggling?
  14. And idiot ndsu fans who call for games against the likes of Alabama, get called out by those of us who know how that would play out.
  15. Rape U is just as accurate as Juice U. Neither should be used to refer to ndsu or UND. The clutching of your pearls doesn’t change that.
  16. I’ve always maintained UND is and always has been our rival. I know the internet is a scary place for people your age, but webpages are pretty easy to open with the advent of the browser. Its not like you have to drive to grand forks to contribute here.
  17. Oh the irony…haha. “but but but, this is a UND board and you are an ndsu fan, so that makes you pathetic for posting here.”
  18. Fully expected this game to be ugly, if I’m being honest. Good work being done by the UND young men. Hopefully they can continue.
  19. It is possible to walk and chew gum at the same time. If you've followed along the past year or so, it was quite clear Irsay had a problem with the way Carson handled his vaccination status. Carson's play on the field put him as an above average QB. Is Matt Ryan and upgrade, we'll find out this year. The fact that he compliments Wentz, certainly doesn't mean it isn't personal. May just mean he doesn't want to stir the pot with a player no longer on his roster and create a distraction.
  20. I guess we’ll just got with SIOUXFAN97’s breakdown because Warren Moon and Bubby Brister don’t put out YouTube content.
  21. Actually DII. That’s blasphemy for a UND fan. That undercuts your 2001 championship. O’Sullivan was a stud who played in the league. You trying to discredit him, just makes you look petty and wrong.
  22. JT O’Sullivans breakdown is worth a hell of a lot more than you or I. Let’s just go with what he says.
  23. I’ll just leave this conversation here for now. He put that deep ball EXACTLY where it is taught to be thrown. Watch the end zone cut. If you don’t know that, then you don’t know football. https://youtu.be/Wj_OOcdrVIc
  24. Dude, I just watched his highlights from this weekend. I think you may be a little biased in your critiques to say the least. On the sack, the defensive lineman went nearly untouched. There aren’t many QBs who would’ve handled that play any different. As for his accuracy, sure the balls didn’t have perfect placement, but they were completions, so hard to be too critical. As far as the long ball, he hit the guy in near perfect stride. Sure the guy had separation, but that is a throw that many nfl QBs don’t hit in stride and don’t go for a touchdown. Either way, it’s preseason, so none of this means anything. Just pointing out that your critiques are a bit of an overreach in my opinion after watching it. https://youtu.be/E6Z9d4lyeTg
