By far? Maybe you forgot that NDSU went to Central Michigan and beat the MAC champs. I'm not sure why people wear it as a badge of honor to go get your face kicked in by a "good" FBS team. Doesn't it make sense to schedule games that are winnable? Seems to me it is a matter of intelligence to schedule games with teams that are in recruiting areas and winnable. Also, Texas Tech is the ONLY FBS program UND has played that would be considered "upper echilon". Outside of that UND schedules FBS games the exact same way NDSU does. So why the trash talk about the way GT does it?
-
Just to clarify, SW Texas Vo-Tech College. Is that the same team that just beat the three best teams in the big sky 3 weeks in a row? Thank you for continuing to prove my original point. Hell I am more of a und football fan than you are. Stay in the hockey threads where they play for a real championship. Leave the rest of us to our second rate football discussions.

Who's bragging? I'm certainly not. Your experience is your experience, nothing for me to say there. But you are making pretty broad brush strokes based on your experience with a select few in NDSU's fanbase. Every fanbase has these types of people, yes even UND. There are many NDSU fans that feel the exact same way you do about these 'extreme' fans and as you know it is very easy to be an unreasonable a-hole when you are anonymous on the internet. NDSU fans are not evil, people can be evil and some of them just happen to be NDSU fans. Your last two sentences will be said from here until the end of eternity about opposing teams fanbases, its a matter of perspective.

Sounds like he underwent an appendectomy yesterday. Some optimistic fans are holding out hope that he can play, but even with the best case scenario, I have to believe there isn't an MD with a license that would clear him for violent collisions 5 days following this procedure. Huge loss, I would venture to say he is the player I would least want to lose for this game.

Fair prediction, our defense took a huge hit with the news that Grant Olson likely won't be playing. It would be some feat to win the NC without 3 of NDSU's top 4 defenders. Grant will be missed in a huge way though, this game more than a lot of others NDSU needs it's defensive signal caller. SHSU does a lot of shifting and runs out of a lot of different formations and personel groups, it will hurt a lot not to have the defensive leader.

I think it's just a numbers game. There are simply a lot more NDSU fans who like posting on the internet than most fanbases. NDSU has easily the most fans posting on AGS as well.

I have made a resolution to keep my conversations here productive, so this is not me talking smack. This attitude that you display towards the FCS championship, is exactly why UND will always struggle to put butts in the seats of the Alerus. Why see a team that isn't playing for a "real" national championship right. Better head over to the Ralph. SMH

Any updated predictions on the championship game this Saturday?

This is the ultimate win for the trolls, don't stop posting because some idiot on the internet takes pleasure in baiting people. Ignore and live to post another day.

I agree with getting a QB every year as well. Trouble is recruits see that you have a guy a year older than him and that can be a determining factor in signing and not signing sometimes. The position is too important not to have guys waiting in the wings.
-
Do you feel it is a "the guy is too good not offer" kind of thing, and that is why they have an offer out. Or will they bring in someone else if he doesn't accept?
-
Having 2 freshman QB's on the roster, does UND sign another one this year, or do they skip a year in recruiting this position?

If you can't see the hilarious irony in your post I won't take the time to point it out. -

If you would keep it to the facts, I would have nothing to say. Instead, you make subjective comments that are grossly false. Keep it to the facts and you won't hear from me. -

Honest question: Do you actually believe some of this hatred you spew or is it a bit? -

I wouldn't necessarily draw any conclusions about a team's talent completely based on All-conference teams or other post season accolades. Voters for these types of things are notorious for voting for the good players on the best teams to be recognized for individual honors. The Heisman Trophy is either the best or worst example of this depending on how you see it.

You gained 45 lbs over one offseason? Now I am interested and need to hear specifics on that.
-
I had a similar problem, never weighed more than 180 and boy did I try. Then I realized I was better off being faster and more explosive anyway. Did you retain your speed and explosiveness with the added weight?
-
Seems like a tall order to ask Jake Miller to gain 30 pounds in one offseason AND be faster and more explosive. He looks to have a pretty small frame and genetics say he likely will stay that way(I knew his sister well in college and she has one of the more slight frames I have ever seen on a woman) He has that ectomorph body type that is usually described as a "hard gainer". My guess is Mr. Miller could eat whatever he can get his hands on and he would be lucky to put on 10 lbs of muscle this offseason.

I tend to jump around to a lot of different message boards, lots of free time, too much sometimes. The reason I come here and post most often, even more than Bisonville sometimes, is you tend to learn a lot more from differing viewpoints. It gets boring for me to always get the homer opinion on things, I like to see how my favorite team is viewed by others who don't give money to the program. I have learned a lot by reading opposing teams message boards. I read and post on Bisonville for very different reasons then why I post and read here. Over there, you rarely find viewpoints that don't take the party line, so there is no need for me to post. I tend to agree with everything they are saying so why take the time to post? I go there to keep up with true insider information. Many of the posters know what is going on with my favorite team days, if not weeks before it is ever reported in the media. It's interesting to see this message board sub-culture when you read and post on many different teams' boards. There are different rules, inside jokes and even different dialects on each board. I truly do find it fascinating. For example, SS is much more formal than Bisonville. I think the average poster on bisonville is likely much younger than here. I believe there are actually a lot of NDSU students who post on bisonville and over here I believe it to be more alums than students. Panthernation is somewhere in between. Anygivensaturday is my favorite board to read because you get to see all different kinds of viewpoints and they are VERY informed.

Well, if by same motives you mean that I will default to being an NDSU fan in an argument, I am definitely guilty of that. If the conversation has turned into a pissing match back and forth, I can be sarcastic and throw out the party line talking points as well as the next guy. But if the rest of the participants in the discussion are making valid points, I tend to be pretty civil and level headed.

Clearly, in my mind, it is UND. The relationship between the two schools is so polarizing in the state for many reasons, including the ones you listed. But, growing up in ND and then playing in two NDSU v. UND games, I have seen how heated it can get. UND is clearly NDSU's rival institution. Right now, obviously we aren't playing in football and I would say our most heated rivalry in football in UNI. We have really developed some bad blood with them. Anyway, I don't want to be the cause of a thread drift.
-
Agreed, I have gotten to the point where I would like to see the game on the schedule every so often, just not every year.

Does anyone else notice how this Risky fellow follows me around and makes personal comments about me? I responded to three separate posts, try to keep up.
