  1. It's not one tweet that cause some people to question his loyalty to UND. It's his lack of ever tweeting the Fighting Hawks name that may have people questioning his loyalty to helping UND move forward from the Sioux name.
  2. I'm guessing there were all of these complaints about how the Sioux logo looked too much like the Blackhawks.
  3. The issue with using the D from this script is that there will be white space as the bird doesn't fill up that entire area. It would be a thin black line separating the edge of the white bird with the blank space in the middle of the D. I think they'll do some tweaking to the logo. I just really, really hope they use negative space for the bird on whatever jerseys they do. It looked really weird in white on a grey shirt yesterday.
  4. Brad Berry has the final say on jersey designs. He's not going to put that logo on the chest. My guess is we have very similar jerseys to what UND has now, but with the new logo on the shoulders.
  5. It seems Gage and a lot of other people should have taken a minute to listen to what Ed said right before the video with that jersey played. That's not the new hockey jersey. It's to give people an idea of what the logo would look like on a jersey.
  6. Just like the N and D in the font:
  7. That's why I said prominently. It was pretty small.
  8. I agree it should at least be on the shoulder similar to the interlocking ND. As far as I can remember, hockey is the only program to have a giant crest on their jerseys with the Sioux logo. For everyone else, it's like this logo replaces the interlocking ND.
  9. Even when the football team only had the Sioux (or no) logo in minor ways, they still had the "other" logo for UND athletics. Now there is only one logo.
  10. Which is a shame since it is the logo of the University of North Dakota hockey team.
  11. Note... These are not official! I just wanted to see what the logo would look like with different color jerseys. I have no idea if this is the route UND/SME is taking with the negative space:
  12. That's what I'm waiting for and what I'm guessing Ed was talking about when saying they were finishing up colors. I put it on a basic black background and it looks nice. I wonder if they switch the ND to black for putting it on a green background.
  13. I wonder if Siouxsports.com was this outraged in 1969 when the football team went from numbers on the helmets to the interlocking ND and completely ruined tradition.
  14. You're putting faith in students? The same students that voted for the Fighting Hawks name?
  15. Which I'm guessing is no longer a logo supported by UND. It was time to get away from sharing the interlocking ND with Notre Dame.
  16. The football team had the ND on their helmets. They'll continue to do that.
  17. If there was ever any doubt about Bubba's passion for UND... this speech seals it.
  18. Then you didn't listen to what Ed said right before they played that video. It's not what the new jerseys will look like, just an idea of what the logo will look like on jerseys.
  19. New gear comes out August 13th. I think it looks great on a white background, but it looks a little off on the grey. I'm curious how it will look on the black and green jerseys. The use of negative space with white is what makes it look nice.
  20. Yup. When one photo of the boards being installed was posted, there were a number of posters who came on to complain about how they looked. Now that we've seen a picture with video on it... and it looks nice, you've got the lone post.
  21. Loving the positive comments from all those "fans" who were upset at the initial pictures. Apparently waiting until something is fully installed and includes video doesn't make headlines around here.
  22. But that's not easy and convenient when someone wants to complain. How many people who whine about the job Jayson does also follow Mitch, Ross, and Ryan on twitter? You want more information about other sports, follow those people that cover those other sports.
